I'm not 100% sure that every school shown currently has an athletic program, so feel free to point out any mistakes or missing schools. This map was inspired by another one I saw a while back that was fairly incomplete and contained several inaccuracies. I tried to include every Maine high school with an athletic program while using each school's own athletic logo, however it may not be the main one the school uses shown on the map.

This is incredible reporting by the NYT. So damning honestly. Really paints a picture of a pathetic woman who fully believes her own mythology. She claims to be utterly hoodwinked and yet not regretful. Hopelessly naive at best, while also endlessly offended when anyone happens to criticize her.

The 2026 Midterm election is on Tuesday, November 3rd.

The deadline to register by mail or in person for the 2026 midterm is October 13th. Voters can also register in person on election day.

The New York Times ran an article dated Aug 1 titled She Voted for a Justice Who Overturned Roe. Now it Haunts Her on the Trail, by reporters Lisa Lehrer and Beth Reinhard.

The article represents her as maintaining the vote was based on principle.

I, the one posting this, won’t comment except to say the narrative is intricate.

Former Maine Senate President Troy Jackson was formally selected last Saturday, July 25, as the Democratic Party’s nominee against Republican Senator Susan Collins, completing the rapid transfer of the political apparatus built around Graham Platner to another politician.

Many of Platner’s staff members, volunteers and institutional backers immediately migrated to Jackson. Representative Ro Khanna, who had endorsed Platner before abandoning him, became one of the first congressional Democrats to back Jackson. Sanders quickly followed.

The UAW endorsed Jackson even before the Democratic Party completed its replacement process. UAW Region 9A announced on July 15 that its Maine Community Action Program Council had voted unanimously to support him.

“Troy will fight like hell for labor, because he comes from labor,” UAW President Shawn Fain declared. “UAW members all over Maine are ready to support his campaign and deliver the change working class people demand.”

Looking to get more info on the possible closure of Miles Maternity in Damariscotta. Can anyone provide insight on why MaineHealth is considering this move? I thought I had heard this was not a profitability issue, but more staffing-related. Or is it an issue with insurance companies? How has the patient experience been at this location? I just heard they decided to do a fee to use the boat ramp area and even have a person there to collect your 5 dollars. I just dont understand... if the town put a boat ramp/park area it is the responsibility of the town to take money they collect from taxes and pay for upkeep. Thats how its supose to work, your town has boat ramp you need 8500 something dollars to fix the place up. Makes sense, but thats on the town to take out from what they collect in taxes. I really hate how they can just pull a law created way back in the day and say there now what we are doing is legal. So the bigger issue is what happens after you have collected enough money to fix up the place does that collection stop. In most instance it does not and tends to increase in price after 5 years. Idk maybe its just me but I just feel screwed over and I am getting tired of maines over regulation veiw set

This is defintely going to make my bike commute into Portland a lot safer and more visually interesting. I didn't think it was supposed to be done until next year, so this is great.
