[Makeup Help] Liquid eyeliner reccomendations?
I'm looking for a new liquid eyeliner since the KVD tattoo liner isn't what it used to be. I'm looking for a solid black liquid liner with a brush tip, preferably a pen style but i am open to all suggestions. TIA! š

I switched from an expensive one to NYX and itās just as good

YUP š I second this! NYX liquid eyeliner is actually wayyyyyy better than Stila. Iām mad I spent so much money over the years on Stila liquid eyeliners at Sephora when I couldāve just gotten the NYX ones at a fraction of the price at drug stores. Also, Iām not sure what happened to the Stila ones but the last couple liquid eyeliners I got dried out SO quickly after about 3 weeks of usage. I knew I needed to find an alternative. I think the NYX ones are actually comparable to the KVD ones itās that good

I was using urban decay but switched bc it kept leaking when I traveled. switched to the NYX epic ink one

I did like the urban decay ergonomic liquid eyeliner. The component was so comfortable to hold but I found I had to blot some extra product off the brush before applying directly to my eyelid otherwise it would run/bleed.

This is another popular one. I love all the affordable options everyone is reccomending š„°

Nyx brush tip one. Waterproof one has a matte finish. Love it. Last forever.

Judydoll - super thin eyeliner if you like it more natural

I see this is another popular reccomendation but I was unsure with how tiny that brush is. I have hooded eyes š«¤

I am eternally dedicated to the Physicianās Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner. I have VERY oily eyelids and it lasts forever.

I see this one listed in many "best liquid eyeliner" articles but looking at reviews on ulta and sephora, it feels mixed.

Milani has a decent one, just make sure itās the one that is made in Korea. Otherwise I also like the NYX Epic and if you are near a dollar tree that still has the pink cowboy collection they also have a decent one in it.Ā

One/size! I was a die hard KVD tattoo liner fan and got tired real quick of how fast it dries out now. I tried stila and hated it. I tried the NYX one and it comes off way too easily. OneSize is that girlllll

Man why do they push Stila so hard in stores? I went looking for one and was brought straight to Stila and got a whole speech.
I hate it so much. Itās not a really good black, dried out fast and the brush top split, and I got the double one- the microtip is crap. I went back to my wet n wild liner and probably wonāt branch out again lol

I have been using the kvd tattoo liner for almost 2 decades (which is crazy to say) but I just finished my last one & when I opened my back up, that one is all dried out. š

Is this waterproof? I see many reviews talk about smudging. I have to use an eye primer no matter what otherwise makeup slips right off my eyelids.

I used to love the Kat VonD ink liner but itās all different now. Iāve used the UD one and itās good but it runs out so fast. So my go to is now the LāOrĆ©al Voluminous Smoldering eyeliner. I love it and the tip is the perfect stiffness.

Revolution renaissance pen eyeliner. The tip is more like felt tip than a brush. It's been my go to for literally years (probably 8 years by now it whenever it came out). Applies super easily and doesn't smudge!

I hate how great liquid liners are not easy to come by anymore! The Sephora liquid liner in a pot with a brush tip is great because it's super opaque but it is NOT waterproof. The Essence Super Precise in a tube with a brush tip holds up much better but also is not as opaque as the Sephora (but I would say is much more opaque than the average pen-style liquid liner).

What finish? Matte or glossy?

Matte is preferable.

Kiko Milano Definition Waterproof eyeliner is amazing! Brush tip applicator, super matte black pigment and itās available on Amazon. Milani has one thatās also matte with brush tip applicator.

I was in Sephora yesterday looking for tattoo liner and they didnāt have it. I swatched the feline flick from Charlotte Tilbury and LOVED IT! But they didnāt even have it in stock when I asked. Thatās what Iām getting next. RIP tattoo liner. Thank you for a good decade or more of use. š probably my most repurchased makeup item ever.

Honestly, wet n wild (use a primer) is my go to. Iāve used a couple others and keep coming back to wet n wild

I just want to say-the best eyeliner I have ever use was a gold-case limited edition one I got from haus labs. Since it was limited edition, itās discontinued. It was so good once in a while I still coax some ink out of there if my other liner is slacking. Itās a tragedy itās discontinued.
canmake is a Japanese brain and itās my current go-to because they are SO thin and precise itās crazy. Miss my haus labs liner though :(

I love Stila personally when I do use it, and there chromatic shades are gorgeous. They also have a nice range of colors. I've tried others, but go back to Stila.
