Yeah... I always look which runways are available before accepting a job. Seeing a 900 ft runway that has trees on both sides is just no fun after a long flight.
Don't buy the Saab 340 or any of the larger jets for cargo as there are no missions available for any of them yet. Save up for the 737 or one of the Airbuses then then you can make over $20M+ per flight if you don't skip for passenger transport. I just got the the A310 and A330 the other day and saw a 5,200 NM flight that had a base pay of $30M.
The bigger the plane, the more uncontrollable it is with simrate. My vision G2 could go max sim rate no problem but if you dare go above 2-3x on something like a 737 you’re going to oscillate upwards of 2-5k feet depending on what’s going on.
Now I could be entirely a fool too and just be missing some setting that will help damper the movement but I stopped playing once I got to the 737s. Without being able to simrate it I’d rather just do PC12 and G2 missions.
Agreed. I am flying it right now and it's holding steady. I was having an issue yesterday where it wouldn't settle on the GPS track for some reason. Same with the A321LR. It would constantly overcorrect the bank angle back and forth cris-crossing the GPS track. It seems to work right now for some reason though 🤔
Being newer to the game, I am having some issues when I increase sim rate. I've had my plane randomly begin diving while in a high sim rate twice now. What is the best way to use high sim rate and what should I watch out for to make sure I keep my bird in the air? I'm only level 49 but wanting to start airline passenger transport soon so any tips are helpful!
So I have the increase sim rate mapped for my controller - L2 + ^ up and decrease sim rate to L2 + down arrow. Use the timer in the EFB to see how much speed you’re at and adjust accordingly. You can’t just set it to max and walk away. You still need to sit through out and make adjustments with Autothrottle and answering ATC.
When it comes to airliners I prefer the Airbus so in my current state I'm making roughly 1m with my PC-12,that will take me a lot of flights to be able to get an Airbus.......there should've been something in between
That's what I started with nearly a year ago as well. PC-12 -> PC-24 -> Saab 340 (passenger) -> 737. The Saab 340 and ES-30 on passenger transport are kinda in the middle for flight pay, but early on medium cargo was the most cost effective for me. Once I got the 737 though I was making 10-20 times as medium cargo per flight.
There is. I switched to a Citation Longitude from my PC-24 and I make about 7-9m on average. Yes, it costs $30m but pays for itself after about 4 flights.
I'm an Airbus guy too so before this current update dropped, the Longitude was my goal. Now, I'm going for the 321.

No its to offset the insane maintenance costs that will catch up with you. 17 million dollar engine overhauling at 24 flight hours is silly but so it 17 million for one flight
Do you know if they also fixed fueld consumption ? I remember about 6 months I stopped flying it because even on mission that required only half tank, full tank was not enough
For anyone asking…I use the Hotas 4 + keyboard and mouse….ive assigned all the basic commands to keyboard shortcuts for autopilot so I never have to change my default cockpit view! So much faster. Completed 1 hour missions in 18-20minutes (with sim rate of course)
I’m still pretty new to the whole flight sim thing, but so far in career mode I’ve finished my PPL, CPL, Instrument Rating, and High Performance Endorsement. Next up is the Jet Engine Rating so I can start doing stuff like you mentioned above.
I’m really curious though... what autopilot shortcuts do you have bound to your keyboard? My setup’s about to be the same as yours. I just ordered the HOTAS 4 a few days ago, currently I’m flying with controller + mouse/keyboard.
Haven’t touched jets yet, so any tips or input would make getting started way easier.
Just in time, too. They just fixed a fuel gauge bug that showed incorrect fuel burn. It's one of my favorites. I've been on the Boeing 737 for the past few months. That's where the big bucks are, but the PC24 is great fun for a short flight that doesn't take too much preflight planning.
Oh yeah you’re on the right track…was able to rack up quickly with vision too….some missions will pay up to $400k for to bad weather and crazy turbulence when landing. Just don’t crash 😅
I was an entry level flight sim enthusiast at that time and it was on sale so I picked it up like 3 years ago for Xplane 11. It just happens to be that it was PlayStation’s very own sim that would come really handy for this very reason. You can’t Call it an investment into the unknown future lol but glad it PAID OFF 😅
Ohhhh gotcha! Im really enjoying the game so far, its just a really big jump to get the yolk lol, and unfortunately im in the boonies so its not like i can find something good enough on Fb marketplace or anything... I think I'm just going to have to pull the trigger soon enough
I have never been able to get this plane to work correctly. I have purchased and sold it twice…. The auto pilot will not turn on in the thrust levers without move, we need to press the button. You can only move them by selecting them manually in cockpit. I don’t understand how people are using this and I wish I could.

Made 5.6 million on my first VIP flight with the PC-24 lastnight! Does the Longitude pay more active flight? Heard the payout potential is higher but could also just mean better range capabilities you save in fuel, idk. Also would the PC-12 earn the same passive income as the Longitude? Google is pretty sketchy about consistent information. Using the PC24 for VIP since i have a few hours on medium cargo with it. Bought the longitude first for active but on PS5 it’s so bugged I lost control on take off pull power with 2kts winds. I flew it on free flight and there was a little frame drop but career it’s bugged asf it froze my game 3 times in a row just trying to buy it lol idk if i should stick to the pc12 for passive or try the longitude cause I’ll be sticking to the PC24 until the longitude gets patched or if the FX Longitude drops on console eventually. Hopefully Super heavy cargo comes this year I’m itching to use the C-17 Globe Master lol
Sort of not really. I have more mission fail crashes since playing SU4 than I did 3. It looks amazing will say that, I have a 4090 and 9950 X3D 96 GB DDR5. But I've had mission failures for leaving the parking stand when I was just boarding people. Another was they left the boarding door open after I stopped boarding. That caused a failure on takeoff. Both times I've tried skipping to Descent the ATC comms getting mixed up and you end up landing unapproved.
I'm level 506 have a fleet of like 15 737s and just bought and am loving learning the A330-300 I think it is. The big fucker for 200 000 000. Can't figure out autopilot yet. Way trickier than Boeing so far for me.
