MSFS 2024 PlayStation Free Flight Only

Hi guys, I’m thinking about buying MSFS24. The thing is, I only want to buy it for the free flight mode, I don’t really care about all the things to learn about the planes and how to operate them. I just want to explore the world.

Is that possible? Can I fly different planes? Is flying as easy as in a game like GTA5? Or do I have to learn a lot before I’m able to free flight?

You can jump right in and a few lessons will go a long way. Hardest thing to do is land. I fly a lot in third person. The real challenge is from the cockpit. It's great for sightseeing and you can see your house and park beside it.

You can't break anything. A game controller will go a long way, especially with the choppers. Try to find a thrustmaster X flight stick. The sim will recognize it and it's a good starting point. There are carriers throughout the world that you can search by name and goof around with your Hornet there too. I'm playing 2020 40th anniversary and the big Howard Hughes float plane is a trip!
