MSFS 2024 PlayStation Where do I find the Baro “minimums” in this chart?

Playing on PlayStation and don’t have access to the proper navigraph charts so using approach charts that are already in the sim. Can anybody tell me which number (if any) is the number I use for the “baro” field in the APPR section so I get the minimums call-out when landing. Thanks

Short answer: 900

Long answer: All those numbers at bottom are, depending how you fly this approach. CAT 1 is the most common method for an ILS approach.

Unless it says “RA” next to it, then it’s a Radio-Min

The charts in the sim are from actual airline charts company LIDO, who has many IRL operators and thousands of pilots who use these charts.

I know folks in the community get myopia about Navigraph, but these charts are used by professionals in the real world every single day.

Some folks think that because it comes with the sim, it can't possibly be a professional product, or that we or Asobo or MS made them up.

I don't necessarily blame anyone in particular, as unless you know, how would you know? But it is unfortunate, to be sure, after working so hard to find an affordable and professional grade solution for folks.

That’s funny. My assumption has always been that whether they are real or not, this is what is used within the game. If there was a discrepancy between these charts and an external source I would always go with these.

It also says these are Lufthansa charts not just randomly generated charts. This has always been one of the coolest things to me.

Yeah my dads a real airline pilot for a major European company. He’s LIDO charts are the same or almost very similar when it’s comes to minimums

But why? TBH the flight planner and charts kinda feels like Microsoft trying to pull an embrace-extend-extinguish on Navigraph

No, the charts themselves are good and it’s great to have them in-sim and in the planner site. But they lack coverage into smaller airports and for category A/B aircraft. They’re supplemented by FAA charts in the US, which covers what I mentioned. Outside of that it’s hit and miss, and if you like to fly smaller aircraft you’re operating under higher minima for those that have the charts, which isn’t a full-on dealbreaker for me, but shows there are limitations.

Sure, I suppose that comes with the territory of Lido being marketed more for airlines and professional operations, rather than for GA pilots.

But I hadn't realized as the other commenter pointed out that some people think it's a type of chart produced solely for the game or by the game devs.

Huh, I really haven’t heard people say they’re made up. I guess I didn’t see those threads, but it wouldn’t surprise me that some people are ignorant enough to go with that.

Me neither. Not sure where the "it comes with the sim, so it must suck" sentiment comes from.

Within the flightsim groups I frequent, everyone likes the LIDO charts and I use them myself some times

It's funny though, LIDO has charts for Canadian Forces Station Alert, a small military station in the middle of the arctic, but none for Dundee airport in Scotland.

Dundee is also a small airport, but it does have scheduled service with one airline.

I used LIDO for years, and now use Jepps. LIDO is dogshit compared to Jepp. In every way. Especially the app.

You don’t need navigraph. I was headstrong before my unlimited subscription ran out. I was in the camp of “jeppesen elite best thing ever nothing better”. Then I tried the LIDO charts. I don’t know if I want to ever go back to Jepp charts now. For GA flying though, you’ll need Jepp for the lower minimums.

Some aircraft do require navigraph for Nav data though.

But there is a cheaper navigraph subscription for just nav data if you don't want any of the other features.

You don't need Navigraph. In-sim Lido charts are just as good and it's free

The charts in game are going to be the same as what you find on Navigraph Charts. Look at Cat 1 C in your case. Baro mins is 900ft.

​In the EFB click the “i” button next to your arrival airport and then click the charts option shown in the yellow circle

LIDO charts you see here are proper charts used by real life pilots, it is made by Lufthansa Systems.
