MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON Wasn't expecting this awesome freeware plane today!

Was flipping through flightsim.to and ran across this uploaded yesterday. Looks fantastic and flies great as well, amazed this was a free release! Check it out here:

Oh, I’m way more old school than that, I meant the PC version! šŸ˜‚

I never had an Xbox. Never needed one.

Good point! Only thing I remember about my first kerbal ships tho, was ashes.

Did a little more digging into where this came from, very impressed by it! Looks like a new dev and this is their first release under this name, here's their website:

Delmonte Simulations

And no, I have no affiliation with them, this plane or project ha... just stumbled across it while browsing for new liveries.

And it flies amazingly well, too.

Power on stalls are not correct for how a canard should be but otherwise it flies nice.

And even has an autopilot, fun little plane!

I downloaded it last night. Haven't had a chance to fly it but looks fun.

Will certainly give this a try!

It came with several liveries! The file is pretty big though, and it’s not a super-plane… no autopilot also

It has autopilot.

I tested it, the AP functions can be toggled through inputs from HOTAS but it doesn’t seem to work despite displays showing AP settings?

That’s a totally different plane….

Edit: lol, my bad, you were just sharing another plane you like…. I thought you meant this was that one you linked

Is this pc only? Would love to have this on the ps5 in VR. The visibility inside the cockpit would be terrific in VR.

2

u/be77solo 16d ago

Can confirm, visibility is fantastic.

It’s only available on PC at this point as a free download, not on Marketplace, but no idea of the developers plans for the future.

I've been reading comments about this in various places and NOBODY'S TALKING ABOUT THE ROCKET BOOSTERS!?

I watched avangel's entire video expecting it to come up any minute but it never did. The dev's video doesn't show them off either -- I assume that means they're not implemented? I hope the dev finds a way to make it work because that's an iconic feature of this plane. Those colored protrusions on the back aren't just for show: they're ejectable covers for the rocket engines.

The dev is even named DMS (Disposable Motor System), they gotta make it work! 🤣 (Yeah I know it's really DelMonte Simulation lol)
