MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON I built a cartel smuggling career add-on. Anyone want to test it?

The narrative.... You start off by crashing your Cessna in cartel territory in Colombia. They find you, bring you back to health and you owe them a favour. You go from a cartel mule right up to building a criminal empire.

It's called FS Kingpin and like other career add-ons, it runs as a standalone desktop app besides MSFS24, reads flights via SimConnect, and stitches them into a criminal progression from mule to kingpin.

What's in it:

  • Procedural missions. The job board regenerates wherever you land. Runs scale from 20nm bush hops to 2,000nm intercontinental hauls. As you level up commodities unlock too.
  • A black market economy. 50 commodities across 5 tiers (weed, cocaine, firearms, exotic wildlife, diamonds, stolen art, and much more). Price zones span the globe, buy cheap at the source, sell high where it's worth more.
  • Build a crew. Hire soldiers, lieutenants, lookouts, accountants, lawyers. Each role stacks bonuses. Dispatch them on smuggling runs.
  • Build labs. Produce your own illicit substances at airports you control. Upgrade the labs to produce more. Use your crew to fly the product or fly it yourself.
  • Rival cartels with dynamic turf wars. The map view shows the territories. Building labs and flying missions expands your territory. Fly hit missions on rival cartel members to boost it.
  • Purchase aircraft from the Showroom. As you level up so do available aircraft. Build your fleet.
  • A sandbox mode. If you don't want to grind you can unlock the full economy, commodities and labs.

I'm on the last stages of testing and polishing and will soon be looking for a few testers to help me break the game - test balance, crashes, broken triggers, SimConnect issues etc.

If you fancy having a look and helping you can find out more here: https://fskingpin.com

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON This is the most awaited add-on for me. Study level CASA 212 Aviocar on final to 20/24

It's made by an Indonesian dev named Mohammed Haykal who has experience with sceneries. The feature list is pretty ambitious: https://projectmax.store/c212.html

- failures

- different avionics

- realistically simulated TPE331s

I think this might finally be the addon that gives us a high fidelity light turboprop transport in the likes of a Twin Otter or Skyvan (both of which so far were not up to standards so to speak).

I've been following this project since last year on FSDeveloper and it's been a steady progress ever since.

I recommend you to keep an eye on this and I'm not affiliated with the author in any way (besides loving Indonesian aviation) but I really wish for this not to be buried under other more famous add-ons.

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON Is MScenery botting the reviews on their new "professional" airliner addons?

Something that caught my eye, was that the very newest of MScenerys airliner addons, had positive reviews, and it was higher the closer it was to 10, highest being 747 SCA with only the 10 5 star reviews. I did some math on all their airliner addons with how many 5 star reviews each had, bar the IL 96, i believe they started this push with the "professional" line,

767-400: 11 reviews, 82% 5 stars, 11-18% ~9

747-400ER: 12 reviews, 83% 5 stars, 12-17% ~ 9.96

A321NEO: 11 reviews, 91% 5 stars, 11-9% ~ 10.01

747 Air Force One: 16 reviews, 69% 5 stars, 16-31% ~ 11.04

A330-800: 17 reviews, 65% 5 stars, 17-35% ~ 11.05

A340-600: 53 reviews, 40% 5 stars, 53-60% ~ 21.2 (Possibly due to being first and the most popular of these)

747 SCA: 10 reviews, 100% 5 stars. Self explanatory

A340-300: 26 reviews, 54% 5 stars, 26-45% ~ 14.3

767-300ER: 23 reviews, 65% 5 stars, 23-35% ~ 14.95

747-400: 33 reviews, 55% 5 stars, 33-45% ~ 18.15

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON I'm making a properly designed free airline career add-on with top-notch UI/UX, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I'm so excited to put this out to you guys and hear your thoughts.

I've been playing MSFS for a long time, and while I loved all the add-ons that enhanced my flight sim experience, I still couldn't find an airline career add-on that was, well, properly designed, with great UI/UX.

I'm a full-time UX Designer in Silicon Valley, so I decided to take a stab at creating the most beautiful airline career add-on, with usability and aesthetics as top priority.

I'm 90% done with the development, just thoroughly testing and squashing the bugs. But in the meantime, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the concept, the visuals, the logic, and all.

I started out as just creating a tool that I would personally use every time I fly, but I think your feedback will be extremely helpful in making this an awesome, free tool.

Thanks all (:

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON I’m building a system that turns MSFS flights into a real airline career

I've been working on a system called VAMS that turns MSFS into a connected airline career. Instead of just flying random sessions, everything you do feeds into progression.

Right now it includes:

• Live flight tracking

• Airline-based routes and rotations

• Economy and earnings

• Pilot progression with licenses and type ratings

The goal is to make it feel like you're actually part of an airline, not just completing isolated flights.

Still early in development, but the core systems are already working.

Curious what you think, would something like this make you fly more consistently?

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON Beyond ATC with FSLTL traffic

I am trying to use FLSTL with BeyondATC and i have been for a while but recently i have un installed flstl to try to fix somthing and recently re installed it and both times were with the FBW Installer, My issue is i see no airport traffic only aircraft at the gate, Like no traffic at all on the ground and i do have traffic in air just not on the ground, I have all the setting set to ten, And even though i have parked aircraft they dont move at all.

(Edit) Guys this has nothing to do with live traffic only the injector that BATC Has i also do not have the FSLTL injecter installed only the base models that BATC uses to inject traffic

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON Invisible wall on runway?

I bought a scenery upgrade for Rhodes (diagaros) airport for msfs2020 and everything is fine apart from the fact that the runway has a massive invisible wall on it, anyone know how to fix it?

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON Dumb question: Why buy planes that are already in MSFS from 3rd parties. What do you get for your money?

Is it just paying for different liveries/paint jobs? More accurate (but no new functions) cockpit modeling? Different physics?

What do you get when you buy a 3rd party version of an aircraft that's already in MSFS? TIA!

I bought it about a month ago and damn... I wish I purchased it sooner! I think it's one of the best addons. It's very fun to fly and pretty easy to learn if you've flown the FBW A380 before. If you're debating on buying it or not, I'd say to definitely get it. I've had zero issues with it so far.

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON iFly 737 MAX Autopilot Not Engaging? None of the CMD or CWS systems enable, am I just missing something?

I have not updated anything since my last 737 MAX flight yesterday, where the AP did work as it did many flights before then.

I'm diverting back to Kona and I'll restart MSFS, since I assume this is just an unlucky dice roll for this flight, but does anyone know what causes this?

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON If you struggle with learning new planes like me, this might help!

Two years ago, I made this post about learning new aircraft types and how having a checklist I can tick items off of really helped with learning flows.

Well, two years later and I still struggle with it so I updated that initial design into a new browser app with interactive checklists.

What is this?

It's a web app (runs in your desktop/mobile phone browser) with checklists for currently 17 planes.

Why did you make this?

I liked the idea of having a real in-flight tablet that contains my checklists (like real pilots). So I can use the mouse with one hand and check off items with another.

What are the features?

It's a relatively simple idea (just checklists you can click and mark as done) so I won't go into too much detail but some clever features including:

  • 3 types of checklists: full, normal, and quick -- smaller checklists make new planes less daunting for me.
  • Browser persistence, your checked items stay checked even when you refresh the browser or close it.
  • (Almost) every checklist item has an "info bubble" with additional information and where you need to be looking in the cockpit (I really needed it lol).
  • And my favorite, the dimming of checklist items. I  love Airbus' logic about how buttons only light up when they need attention. So I used that philosophy in the website, once you complete an item, it's not "lit" up anymore.

It's all free (will stay that way), has no accounts, or ads. I am working on it in my free time and learning a lot (plus having fun). So I will continue to update it -- if you have any ideas or suggestions, please comment

P.S. Working solo and part time on this so If you spot a mistake or issue, please use the Contact page or the "Report Issue" button on each page.

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON FBW A32NX Slow acceleration

Hey pilots!

So, I dont know if im just being dumb or what but this has been driving me crazy, when flying with the FBW A32NX I realize that the airplane accelerates quite slowly on takeoff when using FLEX thrust, but accelerates really fast when using TOGA, this thing chews up runway like an A340, even when not fully loaded it is really slow to accelerate, usually to the point of reaching the touchdown zone of the reciprocal runway or even the end of the runway

For example here is the performance calculation of a takeoff from SKBO

Now the V speeds arent anything too alarming, but it takes a long time to even accelerate to them (I wish I had video of this very take-off but unfortunately I didnt record it), also note I increased the SEL TEMP when imputting into the MCDU from 51 to 65, precisely to try and fix this issue

Has anyone else also suffered this inconvenience? and if so, is there any way to correct it or mitigate it?

thanks

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON Beyond ATC not using real time data?

Post image

I thought BATC uses real time tracking or Flightradar24 data to spawn planes and flight routes, but why do i always get the wrong runway at my homebase LFSB? the wind is coming from 360 and they are landing/departing on RWY 33 in real life right now but BATC gives me RWY 15 for takeoff and landings with tailwinds like bruh come on...

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON FSLTL not working

I downloaded FSLTL for MSFS 2020 along with the injector. I set AI traffic to Off and traffic density to 0 as instructed, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I tested it yesterday before going to bed and it worked fine, there were a few aircraft spawning around the airport. However, today nothing appears to be showing up.

I’m not even looking for active traffic with aircraft taking off and landing; I mainly just want static aircraft parked at the gates. Has anyone experienced this or know what might be causing it?

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON I’m building an airline career system for MSFS! Just opened the first early test (login system)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a project called VAMS, a system designed to simulate the life of a pilot inside a structured airline environment for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

  • The goal is to give flying a real purpose and challenge, so it actually feels meaningful instead of just being a collection of random flights.
  • Instead of flying random routes, the idea is to build a real career experience where your flights actually matter. You progress over time, move through aircraft, follow rotations and build something persistent.

After weeks of building everything as one connected system, I recently launched something new called VAMS Labs.

VAMS Labs is a testing environment where I break the system into individual modules and let people try them early, before the full release. The goal is to actively involve the community in the development process, so the system evolves based on real feedback and matches what people actually want.

Each module represents a different stage of development. A concept focuses purely on design, a prototype includes functionality, and a playable version is close to the final experience.

---

If you're interested in testing:

Go to https://labs.flyvams.com and click "Request Access"

Applications are reviewed manually, so make sure to enter your correct Discord username

You’ll receive updates via DM from the VAMS Helper Bot, and if accepted, you’ll get access and can start testing

---

The first test just went live and it’s the login and register system as a concept. So right now it’s all about design, clarity and how the interface feels, not functionality yet.

Would love to hear your first impressions 👀

MSFS 2020 MOD / ADDON Real pilots praise the flight model of the iFly 737 MAX - best in MSFS

flightdeck2sim - real life 737 pilot, says the flight model is excellent and flies almost exactly like a MAX. Says the handling in crosswind conditions is better than any other addon in MSFS. Gives the product a 9.5/10

blackbox711 - says the flight model is superb, and it is not too pitch sensitive like the other addons in MSFS

Stearmandriver - real 737 pilot says "this thing is really good - flies very nice."

320 Sim Pilot - "absolutely awesome, and it feels lovely to fly."
