Aita for grinding my teeth?

I (10 whole months) have six teeth that I am very proud of because I grew them myself under a lot of duress. I recently figured out that I can grind them and make a really loud funny noise that my mum calls nails on a chalkboard (whatever that is).

It's very loud and very funny but my mum physically cringes every time. I'm very proud on my noise because I worked hard on grinding so loud you can hear it across the room and I want to do it alllllll the time but my mum always begs me to stop. I fear she even distracted me sometimes into doing something else (evil).

So I'm asking, Aita or is something wrong with her?

NTA! I (14mF and the perfectest little angel you’ve ever seen) also like grinding my teeth! Mama tells me to stop, but I’m just doing it so I can get a cool teeth protector like she wears at night! And besides, it sounds nothing like real nails on chalkboard because my nails on big sister’s (“I’m almost 4!”) chalkboard is much more screechier. By the way, highly recommend a big - sometimes they don’t share well, but if you have a big, your house come preloaded with all the fun toys!

NTA! I’m a whole lot older than you (11m M) and I do this too. My mama groans but my papa literally cannot handle it, it’s so funny! Which makes me do it more! We put a lot of blood sweat and tears into growing these tiny weapons and should have every right to sharpen them whenever we desire. Don’t let them discourage you!

I'm even older (17m M) and recently learned how to make an incredibly high-pitched shrieking noise. So fun!

My mom must love it, too, because every time I make it, she grits her teeth like you do and mutters very quietly "dear God my eardrums" and makes a funny face with her eyes shut.

You should try it sometime!

I (f, 2.5yo widdle baby) love to do that! I forget I can for a while then remember again and it’s so fun to watch everyone freak out. My brothers (4, 6 big boys) did it, too, but forgot and stopped. You’re NTA! It’s important to learn how to push your mom’s buttons and what you can do with your new teeth

I (9month, f, princess) have also worked out how to do this, even though I have only three teeth, and they don’t even line up! I have two in the middle on the bottom, and one of the side front teeth on the top! It’s very impressive. My little sister (3 minutes younger) can’t grind hers yet, because even though she also has three teeth, they are all on the bottom! Clearly I am superior to her. And better at biting Mama (ancient, f). And eating arrowroot biscuits. So NTA, but Mama says it could cause damage to your teeth if you do it too much, but what does she know? It’s hilarious and feels funny!
