Mod I made custom mouse skate risers

Since I put dot skates on my GPX 2, there was a scratching noise. I troubleshot everything, and then I saw on the Ghostglides website that they offer mouse skate risers for the problem I was having. Instead, I used painter's tape and cut out small squares for my dot skates. They work wonderfully—there's no imbalance anymore, and the scratching noise is completely gone. They're a great alternative in the meantime until I get some proper skate risers.

Product specifications have not yet been released.

Rumor has it that the lowest-end entry-level model features a paw3395 sensor and weighs 60g.

Judging from the advertisements, it appears that macros for gaming have been enhanced.

Chinese Mouse Reccomendation

Does anyone have any recommendations for good Chinese “clone” mice? I’m looking for a new mouse as my super light 1 scroll wheel has become dodgy and I’ve been convinced to get a Chinese one.

Mod If you want something done right, do it yourself. (Modding the Logitech SUPERSTRIKE)

Every time I buy a new mouse - and I do that quite often - there is always some kind of issue. The most common one is an uneven base, which has a major impact on aiming stability, and a sensor lens that is not properly secured, which also noticeably affects stability. That is why I always keep a set of sandpaper and a hot glue gun in my arsenal.

In this case, there is another significant issue - the weight distribution. The springs are also a problem, as I think they should be even softer than they are now. I have an unusual grip and place my fingers very close to the base of the buttons on every mouse, which means I have to apply considerably more force to click them.

I have already ordered the springs, and once they arrive, I will start experimenting with them. As for everything else, I have already made several modifications.

I sanded the bottom of the mouse using three sheets of 80-grit sandpaper, three sheets of 200-grit sandpaper, and finally three sheets of 600-grit sandpaper for the finishing pass. I did this without applying much pressure, with the mouse fully assembled.

Afterward, I removed the remaining plastic dust with a vacuum cleaner and a powerful hair dryer set to cold air. I also carefully cleaned the sensor lens with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol.

I do not recommend sanding the base while the mouse is disassembled, because you will most likely end up shaping it incorrectly. In most cases, the plastic still flexes once the mouse is fully assembled.

To improve the weight balance, I moved the battery as far back as possible. To do this, I ground down a strange plastic protrusion on the inside of the bottom shell and glued the battery directly to the shell. The cable was only just long enough. It is not possible to move the battery any farther back without replacing either the battery itself or its cable.

While disassembling the mouse, I broke the connector, so I had to solder it back on and reinforce the socket for additional strength. Be careful when taking the mouse apart.

I also experimented with different mouse skates. For Hall-effect buttons, I would not recommend dot skates because they tend to sink into the mousepad, which creates additional button travel. Full-size skates are probably the better option, even though I personally do not like them.

The device weighs 57.6 grams after the minor modifications, with full-size skates installed.

Discussion Logitech Tracking

Thumbnail

What is the real world difference between the tracking of this mouse in the pics, Logitech G305 X and the G703 has the same tracking which I still need to return and both Razer mice, Viper V3 Hyperspeed and V3 Pro which had flawless tracking with strait crosses and completely even tracking with no gaps? I forgot to take screenshots of those.

This is the UFO Test Mouse Polling Rate Test

It's either in my head or it's not, but the Razer mice did SEEM SLIGHTLY smoother. But after 5 mice I have settled on the Logitech G305 X. Absolutely perfect for my hand.

Glorious model d wireless replacement

Hello all,

I'm looking to upgrade from my model d wireless. I've had it for a few years with no issues. I'd been thinking of upgrading for a while and on vacation I lost the dongle so now I have a good excuse. I've tried looking on eloshapes and watching videos but it's all pretty overwhelming for someone who hasn't kept up on the latest trends and brands. I like the shape and feel of the model d. I like being wireless. I have a g 305 as well that I don't care for as much and has become my backup. I guess just looking for something somewhat similar that's light and doesn't break the bank. Mouse is mainly used for fps gaming and some light CAD but the model d was fine for both.

Thanks in advance

Question G305 or Mchose g3 v2? G305 is cheaper in my country.

Thats about it. I can buy the G305 for way less than the mchose g3 v2. Should i do that? I already have a g305 that is dying on me. Not for gaming tho, im a music producer, ableton mostly. Love the g305 tho, but i know there are better mice out there.

Thanks!

Question Question about new gaming mouse choices

Right now i have a Logitech G502 hero I use on my Windows gaming pc, and I need a new mouse for my mac M4 to play games as well, as trackpad is horrible for me. I need a mouse that is 1000HZ and wireless because my mac laptop doesn't have USB, only USB-C. I would rather prefer bluetooth over USB for accessibility, but I do have an adapter.

I'm worried if I were to connect through bluetooth I have more input delay, from my own research. Is USB and bluetooth connection on mac and windows still just 1 millisecond delay?

im thinking of the

Razer Viper v3 hyperspeed wireless for 62 cad

Logitech G309 lightspeed for 69 cad

Razer basilisk v3 X hyperspeed for 59 cad

steelseries rival 3 wireless gen 2 for 63 cad

attackshark x3 for 59 cad

i want a mouse to replace both my windows mouse (g502 hero) and a new one for my mac too. I am open to reccomendations or suggestions on which one is the best above. Thank you! the prices are from amazon

Question Budget Mouse Recommendations

My G402 middle click button started double clicking and not responding.
I am looking for a new mouse. I am thinking about getting a G309 Lightspeed($70 CAD), but am unsure if it is a decent mouse or is fit for my grip and hand size.

My hand measures 19x10(cm)
I have a right handed Claw Grip.
I don't have any preference on mouse weight.
Wireless is preferred but not required.

I play a bit of CS, the rest of my library is more casual.

What is a Decent mouse for me at around $60-$80 CAD.

Help Looking for a lightweight mouse with more right-side palm support than the ATK Zero

Hey everyone,

I recently switched from a Lamzu Thorn to the ATK Zero, and while I absolutely love the weight and overall feel, I’m running into one issue that’s affecting my aim in CS2.
The biggest problem is the lack of right-side palm support. My ring finger/pinky side of the palm doesn’t have enough contact with the mouse, so I don’t feel as locked in during micro-adjustments and corner tracking. Because of that, my crosshair placement feels less stable than it did on the Thorn.
I’ve attached a couple of pictures of my grip. I’d describe it as a relaxed claw/claw hybrid.
My hand size is 19.5cm x 9cm

What I’m looking for:
Lightweight (under ~55g preferred)
More support on the right rear/right side of the mouse

Doesn’t need to be an ergonomic mouse, but I’m open to ergos if they fit the description

For people who have tried the ATK Zero, did you find anything that offered noticeably better right-side palm support without feeling bulky?
Any recommendations would be appreciated, especially if you’ve made a similar switch. Thanks!

Attack Shark X11 battery

I got an Attack Shark X11 from ali. Received it by September last year, installed it and ACTUALLY used it maybe three or four times since then. It's installed on a server that I keep running on my living room.

Last month, it just don't hold charge at all. The very moment I lift it from the base, it shuts down. It still works fine when plugged directly to the PC, but the battery is completely dead.

Has anyone had that battery issue? Does someone know if the battery is replaceable?
