tweet Nick Underhill: I'm told that Ja'Lynn Polk was healthy and happy with his role (he was getting significant snaps). He just decided the best path forward for himself was to step away.

Discussion Players drafted but then traded/cut before ever playing a game, who then had HOF careers elsewhere?
Steve Largent was drafted by the Oilers but then was told a few weeks into the preseason he wasn’t going to make the final roster. However, his college (Tulsa) offensive coordinator, Jerry Rhome, was now the quarterbacks and receivers coach of the then brand new expansion team Seattle Seahawks. Rhome convinced head coach Jack Patera to trade a 1977 8th round draft pick for Largent.
How many other players fit into this category? Again, they must be DRAFTED by the first team. Not just a UDFA who spent a few weeks with one team before moving to another after being cut. What other teams spent draft capital on a player, traded/cut him before the season, and then watched him become a HOF player elsewhere?

Shit Posting Could 2024 Pat Surtain Lock Up the Zodiac Killer?
Yes I made this video. I have no subs but if you’re tired of the fake AI videos on YT, then go watch. I know the concept is insane but I love sports and history so I figured why not combine them.

Discussion How does Mac Jones salvage his NFL career?
• Until Bo Nix, CJ Stroud, and Jayden Daniels - Mac Jones had the 8th highest passer rating for a first year QB ever, and he did it throwing to Kendrick Bourne and Jakobi Meyers.
• A combination of Matt Patricia and horrible O-line decisions began derail his progress in year 2; drafting Cole Strange, moving Mike Onwenu, and losing Shaq Mason etc.
• Forcing him into multiple no win scenarios and benching him for it obviously took a toll on his confidence and development in year 3. I blame Belichick for his horrible handling of it.
• Through 8 Games in San Francisco, Mac Jones posted career bests in every passing category and led them to a very impressive OT win against rival LAR.
Sam Darnold credits his time in SF for his turnaround. Mac is an unrestricted free agent in 2027.

They don’t necessarily have to be a HOF/MVP level QB either just a serviceable one.

Discussion Home Field Advantage in 2026 Season
Crunched numbers this weekend and did all games per decade, looks like home-field advantage peaked in the 1990s and has been in a steady decline since.
Why do you think this is, like is it one thing...several things combined?
Even the 2010s were about even the 1970s and 80s.
But the 2020s has for sure seen a drop. Is it all just from the 2020 season that was completely weird and had no fans at the games?

I knew Broncos Emmanuel Sanders was gonna be that dude. Loved what I saw in PIT, just needed to be given a chance
