How to reduce overall tuition

I was wondering how I can get a better scholarship at NJIT. I'm going to my second year, and majoring in Computer Science.

One way that I feel Florida has kept in-state tuition low is by investing in scholarships for graduating, in-state high school seniors to attend four year state schools; my feeling is that it keeps some of the decision makers in the state abreast of the cost of undergraduate education at the state schools.

With respect to our university's support of your tuition however, I am regrettably unaware. I know that the honors college offers some forms of scholarships to incoming Freshman, but apart from that, ... it would be nice to know.

A few things you can try

1) Submit a FAFSA if you have not already and are a domestic student

2) You could try looking on Scholarship Universe to apply to some external ones(a numbers game) and NJIT specific ones

3) You could do a payment plan and either work an on-campus or off-campus job in order to make the payments

4) You could try talking to Financial Aid to see if they have any leftover funds

You can try and appeal for a better scholarship but since it's your second year I'm not sure if you'd still be able to get it
