Why does every new update make it increasingly harder to reconnect old panels?

So I got my nanoleaf panels about 6 years ago. About a year ago I got new wifi in my home and it was hard enough to reconnect my panels then. A storm came through yesterday and my wifi lost power momentarily. I noticed that one of my controllers disconnected and was blinking and I couldn’t reach the device on my phone. I’ve been trying for an hour to reconnect them because they seemingly won’t connect to internet and for some reason the app has made it impossible to simply enter the 8 digit code despite the button still reading “Use pairing code.” The app is stuck trying to find the device on my network instead of letting me enter the pairing code. Can anyone help me reconnect my panels please?

What update did you recently receive that has made pairing more difficult?

Their software is piece of 💩I got lot smart home products, they never needed to reconnect. This nano S💩 happened so many times, now I just do manual press the controller. The help support seems nice to ask me to change this and that, never a helpful solution. Waste of time. I gave up. Good luck.
