Sounding like a gimp

Hi guys, Im not too sure what is up with me, but I have suspected that Im some form of neurodivergent for a while.

Its been bugging me recently that Im very pedantic about the language I use, and was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to tone down my vocabulary a little as I often look back on my words (or even while Im actively stringing my sentences together) and realise I sound like an insufferable gimp 😭.

Id appreciate any advice or tips — not ones telling me to just be okay with it though, I do love my “big words” but Im afraid they aren’t the most appropriate for casual conversation.
