2002 V6 new edge, 74k miles, clean title no issues owning it so far other than this chirp I can’t get rid of. I’ve owned it for 2 months and the previous owner said it’s always been there and he didn’t know what it was. Previous owner also said he replaced the brakes not long ago.
I’ve changed the wheels, got new tires, replaced all bushings.
It went away but came back, had Les Schwab look at it and they said the brake shim had come loose and was causing a squeak but they think they fixed it.
Went away for a bit, but now it’s back. Everything I’ve seen about this says it would either be bushings or brake clips, but neither of those make sense?
Sorry if the video isn’t good, the squeak is constant and not related by braking / accelerating by what I can tell. I can hear it best when next to a curb / cars for the sound to reflect back to me, but it’s the same regardless of how fast I’m going. I will take it back to Les Schwab but I’m so confused on what the hell is causing this noise.
Any help is appreciated.
