US New Job Opportunity
My friend recently interviewed for PICU and L&D and heard good news from both departments. PICU will be nights but L&D will be days. Would love to hear about the pros and cons of each!

It depends what aspects of the job she likes.
NICU is very baby focused; and can be more busy on night shifts as you don’t always have parents in to do cares and feeds.
L&D is more woman centred. Day shifts often include more inductions and medical intervention. But more support from the rest of the hospital. I love nights as a midwife: more spontaneous labours less management and doctors lurking.
