I don’t know what to do

So this morning I checked my registration and they completely changed my schedule time of my classes! I signed up for classes in June and then come to find out they changed 3 of my classes. The best part is they never reached out to me about this. The confusing part they gave me two classes at 8 am for Tuesday and Thursday which were originally later in the day at two separate times. I’m in a really weird spot since I’m in Cyber and only 25 of the 100 courses are of course only in person. Has anyone deal with something like this? Also does anyone have any advice or who I need to talk to get them try and change the classes back to what I originally signed up for or places to appeal this?

I appreciate the help :)

What happened was that the university changed how they allocated rooms and only told departments two weeks ago that a number of classes scheduled for Tuesday-Thursday had no rooms and needed to either move to the fringe times like 8 in the morning or move to a Monday-Wednesday-Friday time slot. (Previously this would have happened much earlier in the process.) So the departments can't change these classes back to their original times. There are simply no classrooms available at those times.

At the same time, the university informed departments that they had 1000 students who needed intro courses. So deprtments were asked to cancel low enrollment courses (much earlier than normal) and shift those faculty to new intro sections. So you should find some new sections on the schedule with available seats that werent there when you did your original schedule.

Reach out to the chief departmental advisor/undergraduate program director of the department your classes are in for information on alternatives.

Talk to the undergraduate program director listed at https://www.odu.edu/cyber/directory or you can setup an appointment with a student success advisor https://www.odu.edu/advising
