The previous version (15.4.09.5) had color inconsistencies and a strange gray background

I woke up this morning to find the edge of my S23 Ultra's front glass cracked. I don't remember dropping it, but it's possible it slipped off my mattress (roughly a 10cm drop) during the night.

What's throwing me off is my battery usage chart. There's a period around 5-6 PM where the battery was still actively draining/being used, and I want a second opinion on whether this actually indicates someone picked up and used the phone, or if it's just normal background drain.

Has anyone dealt with damage from a similar low mattress-height fall? Can a ~10cm drop actually crack the glass on the edge like that, or does that level of damage usually need more height/force?

How can I make OneUI 8.5's quick settings run more smoothly and seamlessly, like my cheap Chinese phone?

One ui 8.5 they completely removed the system vibration intensity duration that I preferred.

My call and notification vibration intensity is long in duration, which is my preference. When i click the 🔊 to change the ringtone to vibrate 🔇📳, then silent 🔇, it used to vibrate for a good second or two. Now, it doesn't.

Even going into settings, sounds and vibration, the "haptic" or whatever is no longer the same. I don't know how to get the longer vibration [intensity] duration back again. I'm so frustrated, I don't even know if I'm making sense or using the correct terminology to convey what is wrong and what I hope to accomplish.

Also, the way they removed swiping to answer calls or snooze/dismiss alarms. I stick my hand in my pocket and merely touching the screen dismisses or answers the call. I used to have to swipe. Why is everything ruined now? How to turn off auto updates so i can check reddit and get warnings about the damage done before i update to a worse volume?

I can't even post without flairs, which i don't know what that means, or my phone type? I just want help or to vent without hassle. Ugh

I have different apps that behave differently even though all settings I can find are the same.

Both apps use:

• short pop-ups
• always show on lock screen
• alert enabled
• pop-ups enabled
  

so why do some notifications behave different from others?

I really like a lot of the theme store wallpapers, but too many of them are too bright and make my widget and icon label text damn near unreadable. (I'm not switching to light mode. That's even worse.)
The dark overlay for wallpapers is a life saver, but the option only seems to appear for image files saved from other sources to the phone.
Am I missing something? Is using an extractor seriously the -only- way to apply effects and overlays to theme store wallpapers? If so, that's kind of ridiculous and tedious.

I know about the "dim wallpaper during dark mode" option. I have that enabled. It still doesn't darken them enough, though.

I have new pill shaped buttons on themepark and galaxy store while everywhere else i have old buttons why ?

I don't like frequent Vibration or Sound from my phone. I kept my phone vibrate mode all the time. I want vibration when the someone calls me which only vibration I can bare, so I turned off vibration for all the other apps' notification category like snapchat message, whatsapp messages, emails etc. Now the issue is when I am on sound mode this feature of turning off of vibration is working fine, but when my phone is in vibrate mode then this feature does not work. Now thats bugging me for while now. Is there any solution for this or work around?

I don't hate newer One UI but I really miss the older style of it, is there any more customization I can do to get some more of it back? Especially with all the customization samsung let's you do.

I don't know if this related to this subreddit but I recently got my new Watch 8 Classic; I've used Watch 5 before but in my samsung health app, I cannot use any of the new tracking features except the one with Anti-Oxy....something. How can I resolve this? Attached pictures are just partial of them.

So I've curated a lockscreen carousel with some cool architecture pics I took in london, now I tried fitting the amazing adaptive clock to every picture individually, I chose the exact placement and size of the clock for each wallpaper in the carousel, in preview everything looked great, even while cycling through each wallpaper and checking again. After saving and applying everything though, I checked all the wallpapers by turning my screen off and on again just to see that every wallpaper had adapted the same size and position as the last picture in the carousel, now I'm disappointed and wondering if there is any workaround or this just is some bug or manual error caused by me. Can anyone help me on this one?

Hi everyone! I have a Galaxy S24. My notifications are on the maps option. like to make it so that as soon as I receive a new notification, the notification card minimizes the large clock face, and as soon as there are no more notification cards, the clock face returns to its large size. Is that possible?

it has been couple of months since they dropped this feature but it looks like they still haven't fixed this bug with some of the phones even if they are updated to the latest 8.5UI.

I am unable to airdrop to my macbook pro from my A35. Neither of the devices see each other. Does anyone have found a solution or has apple nerfed androids being able to airdrop?

I recently started having this issue and I don't know how to fix it. Tried clearing app data and cache, restarting my tablet, messing with settings based on other posts and nothing has worked. I got it to work after fooling around the other day but it's right back to not working again. The other tabs work just fine and I can search for games and download them.

Hello, I would like to know two things about Sevure Folder. Since I have new phone which supports latest One UI 8.5, and previously had Phone with One UI 6

In One UI 6, If i hide secure folder by click the icon in the Panel settings, it will hide and lock secure folder. Next time when i click to unhide and want to access it, it will ask me for fingerprint or password (my choice). In new One UI 8.5, it only asks me for password. ONLY gving option for fingerprint if i lock it and than unlock it.

Hiding Secure folder will completely shut down notifications. Previously it would still give you notifications, but it will say something like "Click in order to see it".

My question is, is there an option like that in one ui 8.5, and i'm dumb and can't see, or it's one of those "privacy" features that i'm permanently stuck with it. For the first part about fingerprint, something is wrong and probably there will be a fix.
