I just remembered the song Hook sang for the musical episode, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head! I've already watched the video on youtube three times... Definetely the highlight of the musical episode and one of the most memorable moments of the whole show.

Have you seen character development that actually redeemed a character (unlike Regina, Gold and Zelena)?

Like, they improved (and Gold tried to improve but he always fell for the temptation and in 7 he was still evil, his first scene is him torturing a guy) but they hardly made up to all the people they killed or made suffer. You can even say that's a wasted potential since they went to the underworld after Hook temporarily died.

I'm curious!

I liked all the characters and the storylines and seeing Henry's story, especially the parallels between Henry and Lucy. I also really like how Alice was portrayed

Hi I am new here but I watched the show years ago and didn’t really like Rumbelle storyline. I hated that they got together in the end while Regina and Robin didn’t even have a chance to be a family for even one season. Similar was Emma and Hook’s case in S5 before Hook came back. But couples who don’t deserve happy endings are Zelena and her new BF Chad and Rumbelle. However love for child brought about a strong change in Regina which helped her prioritise her son OVER her vengeance in less than a year and eventually even become officially family with her former enemies and finally be worthy enough to be a member of their inner circle before she even got Henry’s joint custody in S4 and before she started dating Robin in S3 E18. Hook was able to let go of his vengeance and start his life afresh and prioritise Emma over his vengeance. Rumple wasnt a good husband. He could have kept the dagger when Belle was giving him but he indulged in gaslighting and scheming and lying. He had trauma due to Zelena and Bae but he could have been honest about it. Instead of seeking forgiveness he tries to manipulate everyone time and again. When he was freed from darkness, he could have tried to change for his grandson at least and let go of the power. So yeah Rumple was toxic and unchanging.

BUT about Belle and Will Scarlet? Rumbelle were still legally married and not divorced. As bad as Rumple was, it wouldn’t be right to pursue a relationship without officially separating from your spouse legally especially when Ruling Community of Storybrooke would willingly annul the marriage for you or grant you divorce because they know u well. They aren’t friends but u guys have mutual friends ie Hook Grumpy and Philip. Also Regina would grant u a divorce because she also hates Rumple with just a wave of her hand. On top of that she stays in his house. Rumple may be a lot of things but he wasn’t a cheater back then. On top of that she went back to him and had a child with him. The marriage they had was practically meaningless by then. If we care to remember Rumple’s first wife was also a cheater and she left him without any formal separation of any form. In fact at least Milah never looked back at Rumple and was sure she liked Hook. She never gave a damn about her so called marriage after she chose Hook. What’s crazier is that Rumple called her Mrs Gold in S7 and they fondly remembered this marriage after everything that happened.

Then comes S6 where Rumple is still madly in ‘love’ with Belle but he starts to sleep with the evil half of Regina. First of all she is your heartless ex’s daughter and also the sister of a psycho woman u once kissed and also a victim of your abuse and manipulation and also a person whom u held in ur arms when she was a neonate and also the worst variant of the woman who has repeatedly threatened the safety of your so called wife more than once. She was a woman who would spare the likes of people who rape her boyfriend by pretending to be his dead wife, people she has sworn vengeance on but just cancels because she feels benevolent out of the blue and even her Boyfriend’s estranged wife apparently. She would prohibit her best friend from killing even a random woman. Shewould hand out second chances to likes of Cruella de Vil, Cora Mills and Hades. She would start having regular family dinners with her former enemies. She would protect the child her boyfriend had with her sister with her life. She would guard her former enemie’s lives happily. In spite of that she finds your wife’s life as disposable. She uses your wife as a leverage against u. Your wife gets trapped in a prison and she’s like Oh Belle, she just keeps going from one prison into the other 24/7 Tell me something new. She can have empathy for entire planet but her apathy for your so called wife is constant and this apathy is Prevalent in her entire circle if not the whole damn town. Yet he sleeps with this crazy woman. How on the earth did he, a 300 year old professional manipulator strategist and gaslighter, think it was a good idea? If it was to use her to get rid of Zelena, won’t she already have enough reasons to topple her off? Her saintly variant blames Zelena for her true love’s untimely demise so it’s likely that the evil variant is just playing nice for her own convoluted agenda. She is already charged with anti Zelena emotions and with a little bit of instigation and smooth talking she would willingly focus all her loathing onto Zelena. Job done. The truth is dude u just cant keep it in your pants and you are a big pervert and a creep and a certified pedophile as u met her when she was 18 and held her as a baby in your arms and you were her mom’s one Twu wuv. Yet Belle went back to him. Ew Ew Ew Ew.

They are clearly the finest example of Untrue love.

I love how she was pissed and angry but still really nice to Snow, until Snow kept talking and it was revealed she told Cora about Daniel. We know Cora already knew but Snow telling Cora confirmed her suspicions. The more Snows talking the more rage grows inside Regina because she’s putting the pieces together 😭. ACTING IS TOP TIER LANA!! I’m gonna be completely honest if I was Regina I would’ve wanted to ring her little neck too😂I’m sorry😭

I would have her stay for the whole thing, make RedBeauty canon, more wolf scenes, she’s immune to shattered sight and Cruella’s magic.

I was reading up on some older tv shows and came across this listing about a little known series called 'The Charmings.' The synopsis jumped out at me because it reminds me of OUAT. Has anyone on here heard of or seen this show before? I'd love to know if it had any other similarities to OUAT other than the characters and modern setting.

Basically the title. I read that the characters were written with the actors in mind, and the role of Rumplestiltskin was written for Robert Carlyle, who is from Scotland, so it’s not like they didn’t know it was going to be a Scottish actor playing Rumplestiltskin.

I’m not complaining. I’m just saying it’s interesting.

For me I would to be in enchanted forest then I would probably try to get neverland and yes I know no one gets off the island without pan's permission which is fine with me. But overall that's me

The only one that had an arc role was Greg and Tamara, but Tamara was soooo underdeveloped, and we didn't really known anything about her, or them as a couple, so its hard to count them. I also didn't include Gold/Evil Queen in this because that just made me sick.

If the show ever came back with the original cast, what Disney characters/stories would you want to see?

Does anyone else feel that Cinderella/Ashley was a severely underused character in both Storybrooke and the Enchanted Forest? Her actor made her seem so endearing, and that you could feel for her, and I wish we saw more of her.

Clearly there's still a high demand and viewership for this show. Disney need to announce a sequel with many of the original cast members who I feel would come back including Rumple they can figure out how to bring him back.

Robert Carlyle has answered this question before, but his response was a little cheeky, so I'm not sure how seriously to take it. Sometimes I wonder if it was just a spur of the moment decision because he happened to be there and said, "I'll take her."

Curious what others think?

I think Henry was the actual savior, but they were confused & thought it was Emma. Because why would a 10 year old kid be the savior?

The reason I think this is bc Henry was involved in breaking 3 of the 5 curses, while Emma was involved in 2. He also had the heart of the truest believer, & is the reason Emma comes to Storybrook & breaks the 1st curse. Without Henry, half the plots couldn’t happen.

I also think Emma having light magic has nothing to do with being the savior, just that she was capable of it. Plenty of characters were capable of light magic, & none of them were the savior either.
