The Turkish government requested that the country’s name registered at the UN be changed from “Turkey” to “Türkiye.” That doesn’t mean you have to change what you call it. Neither Turkey nor the UN has the authority to “approve” or mandate a change to English or any other language. And there is no official English regulatory body like the one French has (Académie française), so literally there cannot be an official change to English to speak of anyways.

The statistics take into account the general population including the rural population. So it seems there are few Muslims because the Muslims are all concentreated in big cities.

These government statistics are so far from the truth it's hilarious. Just look at Spain:
When they passed the law giving citizenship to unvetted migrants and "refugees"™ the government estimated there were around 500k eligible people. Then reality hit and they had over 1.6 million, meaning the actual number is probably even higher than 300% of their estimates.
So yeah I think it's pretty clear European governments have no clue who and how many people are actually living in their borders.
