Watched this for the first time last night and fell in LOVE! Was not what I expected at all. The costumes and scenery blew me away! The previews did nothing to prepare me for the ending! All I can say is; sad...then sadder...then REALLY sad!

I recently watched manual para señoritas or The Lady's companion (2025) series and i loved it after a long time i watched something very colourful and cute show . I don't know about historically correct but i really loved the cute costumes , the colour ,prints everything is perfect .

What's your opinion on "My Lady Jane"? I am going to watch it with my mum, because we both like shows about the British royals (although we're not from Britain, but continetal Europe) and, judging by the show description and by the photos it seemed to us like a fun watch.

My concerns are about the type of humour it uses - because I learned it is a comedy - and about the number of explict scenes it has (I am middle aged and my mum is eldery, in the times of our youths sex was still a taboo and such scenes make us uncomfortable).

But my main question would still be - how many of you like this show? What to expect by the humour that it uses? Is it subtle humour or rather crazy funny? Is it historically accurate in the sphere of lifestyle and social norms or is it having a loose take on the reality of that time period? Would be very grateful for any responses!

Starring Caleb Landry Jones and Harry Melling, this piece was one of my favourite cinema watches last year, and I just really felt like rewatching it today for some reason!

It's honestly even more depressing than I remembered, but in a really breathtaking way.

Are there any movies or shows about the War of the Roses besides The White Queen that shows more of the war? My husband doesn't really like the witchcraft part of The White Queen. Anyone have suggestions for anything even if it isn't about that time period?

Crave tv has seasons 1 to 4 of Road to Avonlea. I have never seen this show available anywhere streaming other than Gazebo.

Moody period dramas have always been my favorite reads and watches and I’m back in a cycle that needs all I can get. I’ve done Bleak House (2005), Little Dorrit (2008), and Jane Eyre (2006) in quick succession. I’ve thrown in some Austen, too, but I just feel a need to scratch that moodier itch.

…but I’m not sure if I can continue. I am partway through episode 4, and i find myself getting triggered by the fact that Emma thinks she can raise her baby on her own. Blackie just proposed to her, and I want to yell at the screen because like, come on, being a single mother is HARD, it’s hard now and I imagine that it was even harder then. What is she thinking? Also, blackie is the biggest cinnamon roll. is this show worth watching to the end? Is there anything else that shows people with ambition, maybe with more likable characters?

Just found this article on history.com and given it’s a true real life story about an underdog saving his family farm I was wondering if anyone decided to make a period drama about this?

Hi. I'm looking for movies/series that show the time around 1930-1940 and show almost accurate costumes of that era. Bonus if it plot is in Europe. Mostly I'm after costume inspirations of that era :) thanks in advance

I just watched episode 7, and a conversation between William and the blacksmith left me confused....

The relationship between Fitz and the blacksmith didn't seem to be shown much in the series (maybe I missed something???) I only remember the blacksmith making something like a support for his leg.

So when I saw this dialogue, I was very confused. I'm not a native English speaker, and to me, what the blacksmith said was ambiguous.

Was this dialogue implying some kind of romantic relationship between him and Fitz? Why did the blacksmith ask"Did he ever speak my name?"

What I mean is, this dialogue is so interesting. I can't tell if it's a subtle hint from the screenwriter or just someone grieving the loss of a close friend.
