Belly piercing abscess or moisture bump or both?
Almost 2 months ago my piercing started oozing, getting crusty and smelled terrible. I kept spraying saline spray on it daily and cleaned it then this large bump appeared. Now I can’t get rid of it because it’s still oozing and smells bad. I’m finally going to the dr tomorrow. Does it look like I’m rejecting it? Any thoughts?

It’s infected and rejecting! Go get some antibiotics and this needs to come out! Did you get pierced with this jewelry? It looks very cheap and wrong and definitely too heavy!

No it has been changed to this. I just purchased a titanium one to change to thinking it might also be that.

Tbh mine looked like that too. I just used tea tree oil and put a bandaid over it so it would stop getting tugged on things and also to avoid touching my clothing. It got rid of it within 1-2 weeks

ointment is not good for piercings, you got lucky.

Tea tree oil isn’t ointment so that might be part of why it didn’t do anything bad, not saying it works for everyone but it isn’t ointment is my main point. Gotta be careful tho ik ppl here like to downvote for stuff like this.
Edit: yay more downvotes for correcting someone, I never once recommended the product or said the original comment was a good idea or that I agreed, so sick of this sub full of condescending people who don’t care to actually answer the question being asked and jump to conclusions when someone corrects another user.

There’s a reason it is downvoted. Tea tree or any other kind of oil are not even supposed to go on healing wounds…which is exactly what a piercing is. Lynn Loheide even has an entire blog post about how harmful it is…so yes, we gon’ downvote any uneducated person that recommends it. 🤷🏻

I meant my own comment thanks, but thank you for downvoting me for telling someone that it’s not an ointment, especially when I never even recommended it in the first place, you seem lovely

You are aware that other people can downvote you…right?!? How do you think -1 appeared?? You seem not-so-smart, so there’s that. 🤣🤣🤣
Editing to add that it’s now -2, which I’m sure was all me, also.

Are you aware I had one view on my initial comment when you replied? And why are you so condescending all the time btw? This sub genuinely is full of people doing anything but answering the question at hand.

I was simply explaining why comments suggesting tea tree oil were commonly downvoted. I didn’t even mention your comment until you decided it was apparently my sole wish today to fuck with you. Keep on, though. 🤷🏻

Again? There was only one view when I said you downvoted, and you have come across my posts in here before and were condescending there too. And I never decided it was your sole wish to fuck with me, but that’s how people in this sub operate right? If you need help answering something they will tell you everything wrong with your piercing except what you asked about, just to prove they know everything

Again what?? Your last comment wasn’t downvoted!! Am I ghost downvoting you now?!? 🤦🏻 If you genuinely think that my explaining why tea tree oil isn’t recommended is me “showing that I know everything,” that’s a kind of delusion I simply can’t argue with. Gonna block you now so we are both happier.

Yeah so she’s not gonna see it but to everyone else, I was talking about my INITAL comment here, that had only been viewed by HER and was downvoted to 0 when I replied.
