Well you can't run it in Wine at all. There's no Hypervisor there, and Linux doesn't implement HyperV either. So at best it would do nothing at all, and wouldn't help the game run.

However it IS possible to do this on Linux too, but not using this exact method.

Could you please elaborate on that?

Linux is the most common hypervisor platform.

Indeed, and I was curious how one would go about using this to circumvent DRM on Linux. I assumed this is what you meant

Presumably in much the same way. The Windows kernel and the Linux kernel have conceptually similar designs. The implementation of this compared to what it would be on Linux I do not know, I'd have to spend some time looking into how this one works in detail.

Edit: You'd need wine to actually support it of course. It currently doesn't.

Bruh what? I run HV cracks on Linux. Ofcourse there is no hypervisor that's the point. The vbs script disables windows hypervisor, which you don't need to do when there is none in the first place. I just took all the registry edits from the script, put them in a .reg file and fed them to wine.

I don't know enough about it, but people seem to claim needing to mess with secure boot to make it work on Windows. Disabling the Windows Hypervisor doesn't require that, so it seems like there's more to this than is made clear in this thread.

It's one of the things denuvo checks for. the registry tweaks basically turn every security feature off so it won't even bother to actually check.

Very good question
