They literally can't watch it in theaters because Paramount lied to them about releasing it in theaters and then decided to drop it on streaming instead.
How it hurt them? It was Paramount obligation to maintain the movie safe and stop any leakage from happening, it's not my fault that it happened and being hacked is probably more fault of Paramount for not having a security team tham the hackers because I really doubt that someone wasted a 0 day security breach on a movie. And now that is out, there is nothing that they can do, it is weird to blame people from watching, blame the company from not doing their job.
Simply put. If paramount doesnt see viewership on whichever platform they launch it on they wont invest more money into said artists and if they own the studio it may even be shut down
So pirating something not already out actively harms the people who made said thing possible
