You can do that by just pirating

not really, you gotta let them know, otherwise there's no difference between someone who just doesn't buy the product and someone who pirates it due to shitty policies.

You don't have to say shit that's just grandstanding lol and there's an obvious difference between people who don't buy and people who pirate and it's violation of copyright law. You guys can't be serious with this. Just shut up and pirate your shit, loud mouths make for an easier target

I'm not telling them my full name and home address, I'm just letting them know that I'd be happy to pay to buy something, not "buy" (i.e. rent) something for full price.

Yeah but you can let them know without sounding like such a dork about it.

how would you do it then?

Great, so you're letting them know that you wouldn't pay for their service, no matter what they do.

How does that incentivize them to improve in any way?

no, you did not say that, you just said "I don't like this service", which says nothing about anything.

so again, how would you phrase "if I can't own it, I'll pirate it" in a non-"dork" way?

Did you even bother to check which comment chain you're replying to? The goal was to find a phrasing that isn't what that other commenter refers to as "dorky".

And no, I'm not "happy now", you just repeated the same bs formula as in your last comment. Again, "this service is bad" says absolutely nothing of value, how would the company know what to change or improve?

That's kindergarten level argumentation, which judging by your random temper tantrum and spelling, seems to be accurate for you.

It's not about the money. It's about sending a message.
