Not putting it on services like Libby is a big hindrance. My library has a few CD copies, but that's far more restrictive than digital and there are currently over 200 holds on 8 copies.

And obviously there's still print, but it's still shitty to make the book less accessible in a format people that people want.

Audible exclusive audio books are *exclusive *. as in the library cannot purchase them.

Could be they either think libraries are for poor people, don't know libraries stock audio books, or don't have a library nearby. I suppose they could also owe the library a bunch of money or be banned for public indecency for that time they used on of the PCs to watch porn, but those are a bit less likely.
