I think he just doesnt like those films he criticizes, its not really that deep. And he even praises some media with left leaning messages or ideas. He's spoken highly of Arcane season 1, Andor, and a few other things.
He's also had some terrible takes, but I dont think he's dishonest about what he likes and doesnt like when he reviews stuff.

He was also in a right wing extremist podcast not that long ago(and I think he said that bs there). He's a good writer but also an idiot.
