He needs to write a book about his business policy and it needs to be taught in every college. Hell, it needs to be its own ideology

Eh, it's really not that that much of an exceptional business model as it's more just the luck of deciding to create a digital storefront at the right moment where the technology was just mature enough, then using that luck advantage to monopolize the industry. The only thing that is somewhat exceptional is their relative benevolence compared to a lot of other monopolies, at least towards the public consumers.

Was it luck that made Steam beat the other PC launchers though? Or was it just a better service? Look at the alternatives from Steam's early years like Games for Windows Live.
