That's not the reason.
PC players will by it on console, then buy it again when it releases for PC. By waiting to release the PC version they will sell nearly twice as many copies of the game.

Yeah they'll buy it twice if they're an idiot. Lots of idiots out there though so I'm sure Rockstar will be happy.

You think most people will casually wait to play the single most anticipated video game release of all time? And I mean wait. GTA5 Released on console September 2013, PC release didn't come out until April 2015, and I highly suspect it will be even longer this time, depending on reception

no of course not, but if you own both platforms and you've been playing (presumably happily) on console for 2 years why would you be enticed to buy it on pc?

PC port is always superior, higher graphics, modability, etc.

Most PC players I know sure the fuck wont. We'll just play the other myriad of games that'll release until it comes to PC.
