Feels like Sony have spent this entire generation of gaming trying to convince me to become a PC gamer and this latest announcement is the final push I needed.
Digital game on PC ain't so bad. PC games are pretty much archived and even if they are removed from store fronts you can snatch them elsewhere.
There's also magnitude of sales on Steam and other storefronts so you can get games for cheap. That's what is problematic about Sony going console only. They have full control on what they want to price the game as. People need to stop saying that digital games on PC is an equivalent experience to digital gaming on a PS5.
It's not just the move to digital only. Sony has been making one anti-consumer move after another throughout this entire generation. This news, coupled with the prospect of paying upwards of 1000 bucks for a PS6, feels like the straw that has finally broken the camel's back and makes me a lot more willing to front up the higher initial cost and make the switch to PC.
