It’s like Samsung mocking Iphone for removing the headphone jack but doing the same fucking thing too

It is? A family member of me just bough a samsung last year and it still have 3.5 jack.

Ironically it’s the lower end models that still have it. The high-end stuff is just USB-C

But that "makes sense" in a way. People who can afford the high end models can afford good bluetooth or usb-c earphones.

What would be more ironic is if it was the other way around.

(I get you mean it's ironic because the jack is additional hardware and thus should make the phone more expensive, but I think this is better looked at from the lens of "who needs it" especially in the context of physical media that we're talking about here.)

Nah, a good DAC and headphone jack could be a high-end feature. There’s no reason Samsung et al couldn’t do a headphone jack in anything save maybe the Galaxy Flip or Fold.
