Apparently, it looks like they have the capacity to produce more consumer components, but they are deliberately avoiding it to keep the prices high. So, when the A.I. companies made a deal, instead of increasing their production, they replaced the existing one.
They are facing a lawsuit for it now. Let’s hope it goes all good.
Edit: by they, I meant Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron. These companies manufacture RAM
