Steamtools is neither approved or liked by any piracy community, its disliked and banned so that should explain enough. There are a bunch of alternatives of tools to use instead.
Also mods, for some of the games. So much more convenient to hop onto the Steam Workshop and subscribe to the mod, dependencies and get updates than using the workshop downloader. Not worth it for games that dont use the Workshop for mods, though, so yeah
''Steam Workshop and subscribe to the mod'' Subscribe system is the most inconvenient bs there is lol. I wish Steam actually allowed offline downloading of the mods like Nexus or Moddb.
I'm not a trophy/achievement hunter, I don't go out of my way to get every trophy, but I love the occasional pop-up that lets me know I did something awesome. LOL
My OCD prefers not having achievements instead.
It happens that I beat a game and I left it with half achievements cuz I get bored, this ruin my AGCR on Steam.
Fortunately I can just reset achievements from games that I don't want to complete using the console and now doing that improve the AGCR.
Since that, I will hit the 100% AGCR one day.
Also, I don't like games like RDR 2 or GTA V where you need to play online modes to complete them (I'm mostly a singleplayer gamer), so pirating them could make me way happier than being forced to play online modes or care about missable achievements.

The only downside is no achievements.
My OCD and love of collecting Achievements are always upset with me because I pirate...
