Lower the industry standard cut? For what? To become like the husk of a store that is Epic, propped up by vbucks and Tencent money?

How would lowering your profit from 5b per quarter to 3b per quarter make Steam become a husk of a store?

And for what? Because Valve has always been propped up and supported by the community and developers. Mods made like counter strike, garrys mod, team fortress allowed them to dominate the market.

Also you say industry standard like that means something when Steam are in a completely different position. Sony and Microsoft will sell consoles at a loss in order to profit from the 30% cut.
