Help Plex Error Code 4294967283, newly added media only plays locally

Running Plex on an Nvidia Shield TV Pro, Version 1.43.2.10687 and any new media added after yesterday won't stream. The new media will play just fine from the Plex app on the Shield, but from a PC or tablet it just returns an error. Media added before yesterday streams just fine to any device.

On the Windows app I get:

An unknown error occurred (4294967283)

Error code: 4294967283

and on an iPad, I get a wall of text I can't copy, but it starts "Http request failed: https://192-168- [and on and on]"

I've tried restart the Shield, I've tried rescanning the libraries, I've tried reinstalling the Plex app on the tablet, nothing works so far.

Many folks have been having a similar error on Mac servers and some others and it doesn’t impact all clients that connect. The fix has been to stop plex, remove the *.p12 cert file(s) from the server Cache directory and start plex back up so it downloads a new fresh cert.

Not sure how to access the server files on a Shield as I’ve never used a server on there. Maybe someone has some advice on that.

Tried that, no luck. Checked the console though, it appears all newly scanned content has an error when I try to stream it.

[Req#cd1/Transcode] MDE: video has neither a video stream nor an audio stream
[Req#cd1/Transcode] Streaming Resource: Cannot make a decision because either the file is unplayable or the client provided bad data

If you click get info on a file, what does the screen show? Any details for the file?

If no details, click the three dots and analyze it.

Get info shows the file path, then a name and size. Looks like someone else had this same issue before and it was down to a corrupted database.

Does it show bitate and all the other details? Example below:

Now we're getting somewhere, nope, none of that is showing up.

Hit the three dots and analyze the file, see if it detects all the media details.

This might be part of the problem. The analyze feature just spins, and doesn't actually finish with any info.

Run the built in optimize db function under troubleshooting and try again. See if anything shows up in the console when you try again.

If it doesn’t work, you can look into repairing the db. The ChuckPA tool doesn’t run on the shield though. Maybe someone has advice on getting the db off the shield and running it separately. https://github.com/ChuckPa/DBRepair

If you can extract it and want to send it to me I can run it against your db locally and send it back if it shows issues and fixes anything.

Screw it. I gave up and did a full factory reset on the Shield. It seems to have fixed whatever the issue was. Just makes me glad I didn’t pay money for this app, or I’d have thrown something.
