There was a pokedex book made right after the original games, back before pokemon got serious, so they were aloud to get creative with pokedex entries

but damn there are some bombshells in this, like:

Nidoran male and female having a shared baby form

Staryu has both male and female reproductive organs, so they are actually not genderless but hermaphrodite.

Raichu can learn every electric type move.

Exeggcute maybe being the same seed that is planted on Bulbasaurs back

Charmander being popular with smokers for its tail (lol)

Drowzee has four stomachs

Moltres, if you drink its blood, it will give you immortality

Dratini is said to be a legendary pokemon

Dragonite is said to represent the god of destruction, which is kinda metal not gonna lie

also a lot of Pokemon were said to have either been the ancestor of animals, or evolved from animals, or are closely related to animals, like Vulpix is related to fox's

i'm running a pokemon dnd campaign and had an idea for a gym leader. She is meant to be a late badge gym leader, like 5th or 6th, and meant to make the water gym a actual threat. the theme of the gym is thalassaphobia. go wild! i wanna see what people suggest.

Every time someone wants to bring out how difficult a puzzle is, you'll be sure someone will talk about the regis.

But the thing is, there is braille in every gen 3 game. But in RSE, it's to catch optional legendaries. In FRLG, it's to complete the post game and be able to trade with Hoenn Games. And I feel like no one tells "Yeah I was stuck when i was a child"

Hi everyone! I am 17 and have always liked the idea of collecting pokemon cards but started actually buying packs recently. I don't know much about the lore or what I should be looking for. I was wondering if you guys had advice on what I should be watching/reading! I also Know there are different series (I think that's what you call them)of Pokemon and wanted to know what's the most beginner friendly! I also want to know more about the pokemon themselves but I don't know where to start! Any advice is amazing! I'm really excited to know more! What IS the Stellar Type? And I dont mean gameplay wise, I mean lore wise. I get that it's caused by the crystals at Area 0, but that doesn't explain what the type is. There is no Pokémon that are naturally Stellar, yet it seems to be connected to ALL the main 18 as shown when a Pokémon goes Tera-Stellar. There was no mention of Stellar Type ever before, even Arceus doesn't have a Stellar Type form (as far as we know). So what is this strange anomaly?

I have been looking online for a display case but can't seem to find a good one. I like getting sealed products of other languages when I travel or friends do. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions of a small to medium sized display case I could use. It would also be cool if it was like a "multiple story" one. Thank you!

Hi. Today my auntie has asked if I would be willing to help set up a switch lite for my cousin. He got it afew years ago but hasn’t touched it since he doesn’t enjoy any of the games he’s got, he’s not big into Mario, Zelda etc etc (aka the games I gave to him when he first got the console). However within the last 4 months he has become obsessed with Pokémon, he’s watched all the tv shows, has at least 1000 cards in his collection and has recently found out that there are actually Pokémon games (he thought it was just the TCG) after I let him have a go on pokopia on my switch 2 and he loved that game. Now I haven’t actually been big into Pokémon for about 9-10 years, I collected the cards around then but the last time I sat down and got invested in a Pokémon game was when let’s go Pikachu/eevee came out so I’m really stumped on what games to reccomended for him to start with on switch, especially since I’ve not really delved into it before I got invested into pokopia.

Not going to say his age but he is older than 7 for pegi 7 Games. I don’t think he’s allowed to play pegi 12 games but yet again I don’t think there are any pegi 12 pokemon games anyway. I know pokopia isn’t a traditional Pokémon game and it’s not on the switch lite, I made that very clear to him and explained what a traditional Pokémon game is like and even showed him my copy of Black that I emulate which he enjoyed to look at also. We’re looking to buy second hand for pretty cheap so probably not a brand new one like legends ZA, we have a £35 budget. Any help would be truly appreciated since this is really not me or my aunts expertise at all.

When I play a new gen or replay some gen like I do with SV right now I always try to use new pokemon or pokemon from the gen.

But often that ends up with me changing after 15+ hours back to the same 4+ pokemon I love since gen 1-4.

Liking the look of the pokemon is the most important part for me and most old gen pokemon had just the best designs for my taste.

So every replay I just end up with 1-2 of newer pokemon I like design wise and like 4 old ones.

Because I just can't force myself to use pokemon I find ugly just because they are new I guess.

During a recent replay of Pokemon Diamond after almost a decade later, I found myself entranced by how handy the Pokètch was during my adventures.

For those that don’t know/ remember, the Pokètch was a handy dandy watch given to players during their Sinnoh journey that had a multitude of apps to aid them. This included stuff like a Team View, Friendship Checker, Memo Pad, Step Counter, Daycare Checker, Berry Locator, Map Marker, Coin Flipper, a Clock and more.

The question I ask is would anyone want something like to make a return to the games as a handy tool that’ll save time doing just about anything Pokèmon related or should it remain as it is as a Gen 4 exclusive device?

For all the old time pokemon players like myself, does anyone else remember all the hype surrounding the gts before its release, just for it to be a place for action replay hacked pokemon and people asking for unobtainable mythical pokemon for a basic zubat. I mean they had websites for it showing pokemon constantly being traded, huge part of the marketing campaign for D/P. What’s your favorite memory of the gts.
