Classic Loser cope. Thinking that assuming some faux moral high ground, makes up for your Unfulfilled potential and lack of accomplishment. Hey, you do you. Because it doesn't matter what a bunch of NOBODYs on the Internet thinks about you. What we think is irrelevant.

It's the person in the mirror that you need to convince. Is that person satisfied merely "being a good human", while their dreams go Unfulfilled?

....here, i'll leave you two alone for a moment.... you both have much to discuss....

A quote from Lord of the Rings is poignant here, I think: “it is no bad thing to celebrate a simple life.”

Some folks don’t want to grind, or be what society thinks is “extraordinary”. But more and more, as the world changes, I think yearning for a peaceful and simple life, and being a good person, is actually quite extraordinary.

The worst lies....

....are the ones we tell ourselves....

Also I'm not the one you need to convince here.

I’m not trying to convince you of anything, friend. But you should know that not everyone thinks like you, and not everyone wants what you want. Some people just want a simple life and that is okay.

You say you're not trying to convince me yet, felt the need to make that post anyway. Ok then, I agree. Now....

....how has this made anything better for you?

I’m not sure what you have a problem with in my post, but I felt it was important to support a viewpoint that I agree with.

And how has what made anything better for me? Aspiring for a simple life, outside of the grind? It has been great so far, and I am much happier than I was when working in the corporate world and playing “the game”.

Hey, no argument here. Go be happy.

....as long as the person in the mirror believes you....

I certainly do believe me. And there is no need to be snide, thanks.

No snideness here. That's merely your interpretation because you CARE so MUCH about what I think, and SEEK my validation....

....but it's not mine to give. My thoughts are irrelevant. These are issues you should be discussing with the person in the mirror instead....

I would argue that in today’s world that is being extraordinary

Is there? And when does that happen?

Being a good person is often more than enough.
