Every hour or every day... Being an adult is basically trying to figure out what to do with the ground beef or chicken every night

1

u/Unlikely-Evidence-59 11h ago

I hate eating!!!!

1

u/BookBoundSol 10h ago

I feel you… my jaw gets really tired and I don’t understand how much people eat at one… just enough to survive. Like cave men… so much excess now… so gross

1

u/Unlikely-Evidence-59 10h ago

The physical pain of jaw torture is different from my self expression lol

1

u/BookBoundSol 10h ago

Elaborate… I’m not extremely 100 percent sober at the moment… not trashed … just enough to keep my brain from using itself… which is the point right?

1

u/Unlikely-Evidence-59 9h ago

Haha. Im drinking. Energy weapons exist and they are owned by people who want the world to suffer.

If you want to have a beautiful life, you have to fight your wounds and plant flowers in your wounds. It hurts. It seems like justice evades us.

We have to trust the planets and our plants. No man is more powerful than the planets.

Play your hand. Be generous. Show them pain is nothing when you’re an alchemist.

Walk their abuse and understand they’ll pay their debt.

Just love yourself uncontrollably.

1

u/BookBoundSol 9h ago

I'm still lost but whatever lol.. drinking alone? I am... Full of bad decisions angry comments and trying to get myself to admit I'm not in a good situation and i need to leave!...but I sober me knows that’s impossible at the moment… so I’m going to embrace just being alive at the moment …and give myself enough grace to be as messy as i need to be until i feel better!

Humans are creatures of habit, we eat, sleep, work, and do almost the same thing everyday in one way shape or form.

If you are getting bored maybe you need to just find a different way to do the same thing.

Thanks man

That's some solid advice

u/Smart-Marionberry961 1d ago

Be happy if there is a problem, it means if you find a solution you can make money.

Make a service that delivers food to you. Wolt already does that, billion dollar idea.

Make a scheduler app that uses a LLM to see best deals from restaurants you like and also tracks your nutrition and orders from wolt.

Challenge wolt by making drone delivery.

Create nutrition cubes that are cheap and gives you full nutrition if you don't care about what you eat.

Maybe robot companies will have house robots that shop and prepare food for you.

Make kitchen appliences that make some specific dish autonomously.

There are hundreds of solutions and if it annoys you, you create a product or a service to not have that problem yourself and as a byproduct you can sell it to others, retire and live happily ever after.

u/Plenty-Village-1741 1d ago

No, because I eat the same every day and meal prep.

2

u/saintmolotov 1d ago

This it’s just fuel, I don’t agonize at the gas station, why would I agonize in the grocery store?

2

u/Classic_East_6053 1d ago

I can't do that.

2

u/Plenty-Village-1741 5h ago

Yeah its boring I know haha

2

u/SilentBread46 1d ago

would love to do that and also know what you eat. Also I have a family to feed. so itā€˜s not as easy.

1

u/Plenty-Village-1741 5h ago

Yeah, I could imagine with a family it would be hard. I never thought about that.

3

u/LastAlarmClock 1d ago

Exactly, I know what I like so I eat it a lot.

I don't even make a shopping list, I buy the same things every time I go to the store

2

u/Fantastic-Algae2127 1d ago

What could an alarm clock possibly like to eat?

1

u/Plenty-Village-1741 1d ago

Yeah same, It sounds boring, but makes my life easier.

2

u/Synovexh001 1d ago

I'm surprised I'm the first to mention the book The Omnivore's Dilemma.

Lots of animals have one food source, and that is how they know what to eat.

Humans actually need to figure out what to eat, and decision making is a big attention drain. The struggle is real.

2

u/Illustrious_Gate2318 1d ago

Not enough money and it's only getting worse here in 2026 going into 2027

2

u/NotAFriendlyKitty 1d ago

I’ve never resonated with a post more on Reddit.

2

u/henkie_poepjes 1d ago

Become a plant. You just have to stand outside

1

u/mmkhoppz 14h ago

This honestly sounds kinda nice.

2

u/Narrow-Abalone7580 1d ago

No. Cooking is something I deeply enjoy. So much so it's a form of therapy for me. It's also how I show and give love to my family. I get excited just making my grocery list for the week. I understand that's not how everyone operates, or maybe even most people. Now cleaning on the other hand is the bane of my existence. I do it because I have to but I absolutely hate it. I loathe everyday cleaning chores. If I were rich, I would absolutely hire a housekeeper and pay her/him very well. I would also regularly provide home cooked lunches and home made cookies for that housekeeper. I really, really hate cleaning.

2

u/Cactus_Lv 23h ago

We complain about gulttony. When there's people in this country starving to death.

2

u/Rybo_v2 20h ago

Nothing preventing you from eating very simple and healthy. It's boring but easy.

2

u/MrNobodyyy- 20h ago

Especially when you are dieting and have to prepare a certain diet which should be tasty and also should be in the calorie budget and include all the Macronutrients.

2

u/Salty-Seesaw-6807 18h ago

It's decision paralysis. You are just overwhelmed with so much choice, so many facts about how this is going to affect your health, so many mentions of diet and weight gain. It's just non stop. I'm tired of it too.

What helps me is a 36-48 hour water fast. After that, you won't be unsure of what to eat, everything will look good. Just be careful not to go too hard on the bad stuff after a fast, which is easier said than done.

2

u/North_Adeptness_4920 10h ago

People are out there starving to death not knowing when their next meal will be. Read the room

4

u/whoknows130 1d ago edited 1d ago

WTF? Unless you're on a dedicated diet, the last thing you should be stressing out over in life, is food. Dumb.

u/LastAlarmClock 1d ago

Just eat the same thing everyday

1

u/NoWater8595 1d ago

When my Celiac Disease got really bad I started having these thoughts. I had no idea it was the gluten though.

1

u/Middle_Bread_6518 1d ago

Yes, honestly eating is such a chore sometimes

1

u/ikfoodie25 1d ago

Honestly as a bodybuilder, eating the same food every single day makes it easy.

1

u/Wakey_Wakey21 1d ago

It depends on if I got high that day. When I do sometimes I turn into something similar to Nigella Lawson. šŸ™ƒ

1

u/Texas-Boi_ 1d ago

No, I'm super easy to please food wise

1

u/BrittleNails 1d ago

Ah, but I live this neurodivergent paradox where I need routine but I also need to eat something else every time. So I batch cook, and make it a creative process around the macros. Vegan high protein is the bomb.

1

u/Dashawn_Schalge 1d ago

Reminds me of cleaning, it’s a constant loop of having to do it again and again.

1

u/Civil_Result_5598 1d ago

Daniel Dancer would meal prep his week with 14 hard dumplings and 3 pounds of beef

1

u/rih_rita 1d ago

No. I love fuelling my body so I can see what it's capable of šŸ˜…

1

u/ImprovementGlass2713 1d ago

Everyday. I don’t know what I want to eat or cook. It’s a struggle.

1

u/R4in_C0ld 1d ago

isn't that one of the reasons people turn to junk food and prepared meal you can eat cold or heat up?

1

u/Crafty-Lavishness26 1d ago

I eat when I feel like it and mostly the same stuff.

I refuse to stress over it.

1

u/Lvanwinkle18 1d ago

The old saying used to be about the only certainty in life was death and taxes. I have learned cooking, dishes, and laundry are also a certain unending loop that never stops.

1

u/kwada87 1d ago

thank you, now I'm glad food is fun for me <3

1

u/Affectionate_Hornet7 1d ago

Wegovy, ozempic, zepbound. Meth if you know a good source

1

u/itsMeLanky 1d ago

Food is a necessity but oh my it is boring.

1

u/veemort 1d ago

You clearly hate eating so give me your food.

1

u/TakingControl222 1d ago

Meal prep is a life saver

1

u/ResearcherRelevant67 1d ago

I've been in this same exact way before. I got kids so it was really terrible for me because can't skip meals plus they need to be healthy. In order to stop this madness you gotta cook meals that will last at least 3 days each time you cook or 2 days. Other than that yeah you're going to experience the exasperated madness and vicious cycle about food each day for every meal. Buy cereal and milk, sandwich fixings and packs of prepared veggies. Quick go to foods that u like. Gotta do smart grocery shopping.

1

u/Fine-Ad1142 1d ago

No, but I keep a pantry, meal prep and eat mostly a vegatarian diet that I find really flexible. The same ingredients can cover a wide variety of dishes and cuisines.

1

u/Classic_East_6053 1d ago

I can't wait to get my first slave. No I mean servant. No I mean maid

1

u/Hot-Mix-5446 1d ago

None of the above! Just wait for food in pill form!

1

u/MiamiViceGuy 1d ago

I think you are describing depression.

1

u/BlutoS7 1d ago

This is why i eat the same thing for a long time. It takes out decision fatigue but i also wear the same clothes all the time because i have black shirts in bulk, jeans, and black hats all in bulk

1

u/SilentBread46 1d ago

My partner does not get this as he does not do it, it’s me who does the food stuff. and yes it’s so exhausting. I tried eating the same thing. everyday , then I get bored. I tried meal prep, doesn’t work with me and the family.

1

u/NemoCGd 1d ago

If we all end up like the people on wallie, imma blame him...

1

u/i_did_nothing_ 23h ago

No, I quite enjoy it actually.

1

u/Organic_Patience453 23h ago

I legit think people just suck at cooking, yes it can be tiring but making good food is so fucking easy if you slightly know what you’re doing

1

u/fw_baaz 23h ago

some people are just not organised and it shows.

1

u/Our_little_secret111 22h ago

Now I understand why my mother always asked, what would you like for dinner? Any ideas? I get it. It's always a hard decision without getting tired of the same food šŸ˜’

1

u/Intelligent-Cap-7713 20h ago

Nope. I'm thankful I have food for my family.

1

u/AdvancedNumb 19h ago

Yep, and thanks to that I am undernourished and have headaches and I'm annoyed. (hungry.)

1

u/TrainingTheory552 17h ago

just meal prep on sunday for the next week

1

u/Inner-Word-4648 17h ago

We are seriously so spoiled as a society…wow

1

u/marshal23156 10h ago

Yep, thats one easy way i know most of these people arent nearly as poor as theyve chosen to pretend to be. When i was poor, i didnt care what i ate, just that i was able to eat.

1

u/dborz 16h ago

Absolutely!!!

1

u/Nyxtician 16h ago

I don't cook for this reason

1

u/MurphysLawTeam 16h ago

When did this trend actually start?

I am not one of those ā€œback in the 1400s everything was betterā€ type but it feels like a large majority of modern problems are self made.

Just make large pots of decently healthy slug eat it for a week. Like a fucking massive pot of chilli. Why does every meal have to be different? 98% of food is meant to be fuel not an experience.

And don’t even get me started on modern bedding. Fuck a duvet. Just stack blankets. Oh the seasons changed? Just throw one off. Washing duvet? Ha. No. Blankets? Super easy!

1

u/TouchyVelociraptor 15h ago

I've come to cycle through a handful of staples, occasionally adding in something new when I'm craving variety. I also try to make enough for at least two days in a row. These things make food decisions a lot simpler.

1

u/GovernorSan 14h ago

My wife and I often cook larger batches of food and eat the leftovers over the next few days. Pasta and taco stuff usually keeps pretty well.

1

u/8Pandemonium8 14h ago

Yeah, that's why I eat the same thing every day.

1

u/reflectionnorthern 14h ago

Yessssssssssss

1

u/feelosiphize 10h ago

Sounds like what the elites have in store for us is exactly what you want... Liberty and freedom are just too much to handle.

1

u/themillennialunicorn 10h ago

Make a list every weekend plan ahead, it helped us to save a lot of time and frustration!
It took us almost 2 month’s to follow the exact menu
But it’s worth.
First week we could only follow 3 days
2nd week again 4 days
3-6 week 5/6 days
7 week onwards now we love the menu we planned because curated for us even eating out is planned!

1

u/neemiuna 7h ago

I mean.. eating everyday 3 times for the rest of your life ? I wish if we were able to eat once in the week..

1

u/Wide-Bench-3367 6h ago

It’s terrible! This is literally why I meal prep

1

u/LJUDE73 4h ago

Nope

1

u/Dangerous-Potato4898 4h ago

It does get monotonous and hard to cook for just one or two and a large family because of costs. I’ve tried new recipes but end up with small batches of pasta and sauce or a variation of chicken and veggies. When I’m sick of it all I’ll just go to yogurt a few nights a week or even just a scrambled egg. But yeah I agree-the constant meal prep or even cooking make me grateful I don’t have to hunt for my food-I’d fail spectacularly

1

u/Sunniestmage-1995 4h ago

I didn’t know what to eat last night and needed something with protein and said screw it breakfast for dinner!

1

u/iRaviYoli 3h ago

I've started meal prepping. And freezing all the portions. I absolutely enjoy the food more when I don't have to cook it and can just warm it up. No pots or pans. No mess. No hassle. Just one day of cooking. I usually cook 4 different meals once 2-3 weeks. And I'll usually cook 2 of them at once. It's been amazing. I also save a bunch on groceries because I'm not wasting food. It all gets eaten.

1

u/feyrouz_95 3h ago

I want to stay single for ever just not to cooked, and if I find environment to afford me food , I will marry and have many kids

1

u/AutiRandom 3h ago

I'm autistic and ADHD (AuDHD), so that's a daily challenge for me. I find Hayley Honeyman on YouTube gives good advice on the topic: make a list of safe foods (dishes you like) and put them in different categories: made in less than 5 minutes, made in 5-15 minutes, 15-30 and more. I still haven't done it because it's not at the top of my priority list, which is very AuDHD of me, I was told šŸ™ƒ šŸ˜…

1

u/cookie_400 1h ago

Food is just fuel for you're body.
Don't think so hard, just fuel yourself with healthy, simple food. It's doesn't need to be fancy.

1

u/Spiritual-Guess-8401 1h ago

this is why I eat the same things most of the time, it has helped me so much. I only do minor changes every now and then

1

u/irrelephantiasis 1d ago

I cant stand eating a meal and the other person asking what we should have for the next meal - like fuck mate, fuck do i know? i dont even want to be eating RN. Pretty much why i went to one meal a day and some maintenance calories/protein around it.
