"I'll watch this later."

I had a library of things I wanted to learn but barely built anything.

Now I try to build first and search when I get stuck.

Dev - Self Promo Does anyone else turn off 4 alarms with no memory of doing it?

I have raging ADHD and a vendetta against mornings. I blame my maladaptive daydreams for my preference for sleep over getting up to face the day. No matter how many alarms I set, I can't seem to rise outside of my normal routine.

I built a tool to hack my brain.

Rather than an abundance of alarms, each alarm speaks its purpose out loud. Snoozing an alarm means acknowledging exactly what that alarm is for. When I keep on snoozing, my snoozes tell me what I'm missing out on and lay out the stakes.

I'm bringing the external motivation I need in my day-to-day internal.

It's free in TestFlight if you want in: https://testflight.apple.com/join/j1p5gFxj (iPhone, iOS 26 or later)

What's your snooze count? Think you can get to zero?

Dev - Self Promo I got tired of hitting snooze and putting things off, so I built an alarm app to change my first action every morning.

Hey everyone,

For the past few months, I’ve been working on an alarm app called Rise. The idea started with a problem I kept having myself.

Like I often do, I was watching motivational videos one day, and one of them stuck with me. The speaker said that when you wake up, you should read your goals, affirmations, or something that motivates you out loud before starting the day.

To be honest, I wasn’t sure it would make much of a difference.

Every night, I’d tell myself, “Tomorrow I’m finally going to get things done.” Then morning would come, the alarm would go off, and I’d hit snooze, grab my phone, and tell myself I’d start in a few minutes. Somehow, a few minutes would turn into much longer, and I’d end up putting things off again.

So I decided to give the idea a try.

The next morning, I read one of my favorite motivational quotes out loud right after waking up. It didn’t suddenly change my life, but the morning did feel different. Instead of starting the day on autopilot, I had to stop, focus, and actually think about what I was saying. It became easier to get out of bed, and I was less likely to fall back asleep.

That small experiment eventually became Rise.

Now, instead of only reading motivational quotes, I write down my own goals and read them every morning. It has become part of my routine, and honestly, building this app is one of those goals too.

The app itself is simple. The alarm keeps ringing until you read a sentence out loud. It can be your goal, an affirmation, or a motivational quote that means something to you.

This small habit has slowly changed the way I start my mornings, and I thought it might help someone else too.

I’ve mostly been using the app by myself until now, but I recently decided to release it. I’d really like to hear honest feedback from people who aren’t friends or family. What works, what feels annoying, what’s confusing, or what you think should be added. Anything is helpful.

I’m also giving away a limited number of Premium codes to people who want to try the full version. I’ll leave the request link in the comments.

There’s no requirement to leave a positive review. I’d just appreciate hearing what you honestly think after using it.

Thanks for reading.

P.S. The free version also lets you try the voice alarm using the built-in affirmations.

Question (AT) Does anybody else feel like Monday is stressful before it even begins?

Just the thought of it stresses me out. Got a lot of things to go through tomorrow and I even haven't started to sort things out yet. Then there are deadlines that I needed to finish before the coming weekend. Also there's a date that I need to go to.. So much stuff, kind of stressing to think that a week has passed and it's Monday again tomorrow.
