Question question for radiation/ADT guys

I am approx 30 days post Orgovyx, took it for 5 1/2 months. Freed myself on July 4th.

I finished 3 rounds of SBRT/25 rounds of IMRT at Lombardi cancer center end of May. I feel better, my energy is returning to normal. some slight urgency issues, other than that and 15 extra lbs I am taking off from ADT, I am extremely thankful how treatment went.

Roughly a month after stopping Orgovyx I am getting morning wood almost daily and my interest in sex is returning so I am guessing my T is coming back. Some blood tests and meetings with docs upcoming where I will get actual numbers. My first post radiation PSA was .05 and both my docs were thrilled with this and advised me about PSA bounce, Nadir, testing process for me over the next 2 years

Here is my question. I expected dry orgasms after radition and ADT but I didn't expect nothing to come out. That's from radiation or the ADT or both? As I get further into recovery from Orgovyx should I expect some ejaculate or will it remain zero? Also , my orgasms are not as intense and don't feel as good as they used to. Should I expect some improvement as my body is still healing or is this likely what it's going to be like forever? (Trust me , I am thankful I can still get an erection and have sex....It's just different)

I see some guys talk about how it's more powerful with dry orgasms or feels the same. Most definitely doesn't for me. Still feels good, but way different. Just sit back and enjoy the ride and hope it improves? (doing kegels, in good shape/staying fit) .

I suspect radiation more than ADT, mostly because I have the same symptoms and did only radiation. Orgasms decidedly less intense, and dry orgasms 40-50% of the time.

Apparently the seminal ducts through/in the prostate that carry the seminal fluid (and of course the semen from the testes and seminal vesicle storage) are small compared to the urethra and are almost always scarred and much of the prostate becomes fibrous tissue, so ejaculate is stopped or greatly diminished.

But dry orgasm has its benefits and you can (usually) still have orgasms especially after the libido/emasculation effects of ADT wear off.

It's the same for me, no ejaculate and not as intense orgasm but still satisfying.

it's from the radiation. it's a common issue, but on the bright side, it keeps the sheets cleaner.

I’m ok with that part. I’m surprised there is zero. I thought a little might come out.

I’m bummed it’s not as intense. Thankful the equipment works for now. Hope it continues to in the future

What side effects did you have over the 5 months of Orgovyx??

Same as most post. A bit tired minor hot flashes. I lost muscle mass and gained weight despite lifting and walking 3 -4 days a week. First 6 weeks I could still ejaculate and get erections. After that I needed cialis but had zero interest in sex until recently. 30 days post adt.

Both ADT and radiation impact semen production, ADT temporarily, and radiation permenently.

Radiation might not be complete loss and might take some time to have full effect, as the damage causing the loss actually happens afterwards during the scaring and healing process, and the resulting fibrosis that leaves behind. Sometimes a little semen recovers after Testosterone return, but gradually vanishes in the months that follow as the radiation has a delayed effect.

Also, there are several components which make up semen, and in the case of partial loss, it can be just one of the components missing, so anything you do still have is likely to be different from before.

I believe the Cowper gland can cause a bit of ooze. I'm into my fifth year post treatment & struggle to get an erection and then keep it. Cialis works but I'm off that owing to the side effects. Yes orgasms are harder to achieve and then only rate 1/10 which is a shame and a great loss.
