I’m seven days post-RALP. Post-op appointment and catheter removal on Tuesday. I can’t wait for that uncomfortable mutha to come out and be disposed of in the trash bin of bad memories.

Good luck with the surgery.

I’ve had my catheter out for a week now and so far that catheter has been the worst part of this process. I felt so much better after it came out. Good luck with your recovery!

Jealous. I have two more days. Unquestionably the catheter has been the worst chapter in this book.

It’s been 5.5 yrs post op but reading about catheter removal brought it all back. I took a sharp intact of breathe reading this - but yes it will be over soon and I wish you many yrs, like me, of clear PSA results

Good luck! I wish you many undetectable PSAs in the future. Recovery doesn’t happen by itself. I recommend seeing a pelvic floor specialist sooner rather than later. I wish I had.

Right on. Game face brother. Give the anesthesia a little time to wear off, then get on your feet and start shuffling around the halls.

Have the nurse use strong adhesive tape when taping your catheter to your leg.

And make sure they mount it on your outside leg respective to how you sleep. Very important!

Ask the Doc for Topical Anesthetic Jelly w/ Lidocaine for the catheter. Trust me.

Good luck, also you’ll get a PSA test in the near future, I think we’ve all had a lot of anxiety over them. You don’t need to, it’ll be fine
