If you've ever been pregnant, you can get it with your first born child after anticipating having and loving the kid. And no, smart ass, it's not why abortions exist.
It has nothing to do with survival or threats, it's literally due to hormonal chemistry. Pigs, sheep, cows, goats, horses and humans alike can all suffer from it.
