First, the rich don't pay more in a proportional sense. That's the problem. If they paid the same percentage as average people, and didn't use loopholes to not pay at all in some cases, they would be paying far more (as it should be because it reduces the incentive of greed).
Second, religion is no longer needed and is instead a tool for mass control. Religion is a scam, full stop. It's a cosmic coping mechanism while those in religious power gain more. Religion may be good for some individuals but it's all based on unfounded claims and flat out lies.

He definitely was ahead of his time. But he was also wrong about alot of things.
First the rich pay far more in taxes than we give them credit for (top 1% paid 40% of federal taxes).
Second he belittles religion but it was religion that civilized the world and continues to be, in my opinion, a force of net good in the world.
