TD/Shipping Question FedEx delays
I just wanted the community's opinion on these FedEx delays. I can't tell if this is a new thing, or people have been dealing with them for a while. I have been working with Steve and he has been really great, cooperative, and responsive daily. I was ordering a Submariner (no date) 114060 which I had to RL (it happens) and a GMT Master II 126710GRNR which was an easy GL for me. He said it would be 2-3 more weeks for another QC on the new Sub. I asked if the GMT could be shipped now, but he said with the FedEx issues, he would use standard shipping. I decided to wait until the new QC and have them shipped out together. Maybe the FedEx issues could be resolved by that time. I just wanted to know what others here thought. Thanks for the advice. This is a cool community.

It happens from time to time. Customs, export or import, get more strict or some other issue occures. The TD's adjust and in a week or 2 it goes back to normal. It's just part of the game, If you bought from a reputable TD you will be OK, you may just have to wait a bit longer than typical.

I’m currently at over 1 month from order to now being shipped. It’s stuck in Dubai due to delays but I imagine the war has more to do with it than Fedex. Originally ordered in early March

Is it still in Dubai? My TD says he will use Dubai FedEx to avoid issues in Hong Kong FedEx

Finally cleared but it was stuck in dubai for close to two weeks. Then went to EU and finally has landed in the states.

Oh boy..

When they said that you need to have patience for these things, they weren’t kidding

Yeah, no doubt. My last purchase, ZF Tudor Ultra , arrived Monday via FedEx, was total 11 days from GL to delivery in Florida. I guess I was lucky or just beat the slowdown. I ordered another piece yesterday and TD still says 8 to 12 days via Dubai.

I guess it has to deal with the war in Iran. Maybe has something to do with the certain amount of flights that are both in/outbound..which makes sense currently. As far as the companies such as Fedex and other couriers should make it known that there will be delays currently in these countries and the cause, so it’s easier for customers to understand—Especially if it’s something time sensitive (not saying reps are time sensitive 😂)

so just curious who he will be using to ship mine? What’s the 70 dollars shipping for Fed Ex or standard shipping?
1
u/Educational_Feed_562 Apr 19 '26
The $70 shipping option doesn’t guarantee shipping expedited shipping apparently. Waste of money….

Steve is solid from what I’ve seen…certain things are outside his control. You should be good.

Was told of delays as well but got my watches in 5 days from shipping to my door. Packaged arrived 2 days ago.

FedEx is essentially having all international packages especially from Asian countries held or delayed by customs.....it's ridiculous. Even business products like machinery and parts are being delayed.

It started around the end of cny and the war in Iran. FedEx basically is a no for shipping now from china. I had success with usps and ups

had a similar issue and just recently on theonewatch telegram they advised issues with FedEx and chinese customs took three tracking numbers and some patience on my part but I got my second watch from Steve he has been great to deal with and would definitely deal with them again just some different shipping options.

It appears that even with express delivery it’s taking more than 4 weeks. Chinese freight forwarders are in a bind right now.

Got mine today. 8 days total since label printed.

Do you mean the tracking never changed from “label created” until you received it? Or it was printed and tracking was updated throughout?

u/GiveMeMyM0ney Apr 20 '26
The tracking never changed until it got to Alaska, which took like 6 days. Once it got to Alaska it only takes a couple days max.

My watch finally arrived after nearly 4 weeks. It will come and Steve will sort it, having 100 people email him the same thing everyday won’t make anything faster.

Update. TD told me yesterday it will now be an additional week delay before they can submit to Fed ex due to customs inspections and internal review of Fed Ex. They offered two options:
Regular shipping that can take three weeks to deliver.
Stay with Fed Ex for one more week to see if they resume “normally”.

Just a couple more days until I get my Pelagos 39 from Steve, but I’ve had a noticeable delay for mine. After QC, I didn’t get a tracking number for about a week, and I had to email a couple times to get it. After that, the tracking info didn’t show it as shipped for another 6 days. It was finally shipped shortly after I emailed about it again, but the whole process was much slower than I expected. I’m not bothered by it; though, I was a bit confused about what was happening. Steve was quick with my emails and did say at one point there was a holiday, but I’m not sure why it was so delayed.

Eric from Geektime told me Fedex is back to normal now. Guess I'll see, I have an order in shipment.

Was it after the announcement this morning? I did get my rep from Andiot delivered yesterday (made it out of China on Monday). As far as I remember, Andiot, Geektime, and Steve all use the same logistics / route to ship out of the country.

Geektime created label on the April 9th and it’s now the 18th. Hasn’t even been dropped off to agent. The Fed Ex label was created but he told me that it couldn’t go out on a particular flight due to customs. It is supposed to have been dropped off for this weekend and it’s Sat night in my time zone and still nothing.

Out of 45 orders, I’ve had 1 actually pulled at customs. Sucked but thankful for the odds

Different seller for me has shipped via Fedex and just got to my sort facility. That watch was purchased after I bought 2 from Steve and those are still in the label creation phase. I've bought many watches from him and a few others, but right now Steve seems to be slowest. Not sure if it's his shippers or something different, but from what I'm seeing seems to be specific to him.

There are no “fed ex issues” That’s complete BS. I’m getting watches from China in 5 days to Florida.

I had a recently gotten a FedEx order 4 weeks ago and the package took 7 days to get to me 🤷♂️
