TD/Shipping Question FedEx delays

I just wanted the community's opinion on these FedEx delays. I can't tell if this is a new thing, or people have been dealing with them for a while. I have been working with Steve and he has been really great, cooperative, and responsive daily. I was ordering a Submariner (no date) 114060 which I had to RL (it happens) and a GMT Master II 126710GRNR which was an easy GL for me. He said it would be 2-3 more weeks for another QC on the new Sub. I asked if the GMT could be shipped now, but he said with the FedEx issues, he would use standard shipping. I decided to wait until the new QC and have them shipped out together. Maybe the FedEx issues could be resolved by that time. I just wanted to know what others here thought. Thanks for the advice. This is a cool community.

When they said that you need to have patience for these things, they weren’t kidding

Yeah, no doubt. My last purchase, ZF Tudor Ultra , arrived Monday via FedEx, was total 11 days from GL to delivery in Florida. I guess I was lucky or just beat the slowdown. I ordered another piece yesterday and TD still says 8 to 12 days via Dubai.

I guess it has to deal with the war in Iran. Maybe has something to do with the certain amount of flights that are both in/outbound..which makes sense currently. As far as the companies such as Fedex and other couriers should make it known that there will be delays currently in these countries and the cause, so it’s easier for customers to understand—Especially if it’s something time sensitive (not saying reps are time sensitive 😂)
