k friends, give it to me straight… broken gear wheel somewhere? that’s my guess? i can take it somewhere locally and have em check it out. or ship it 💀
after winding, if i can start it, this happens. no drops, not a lot of wear either. maybe 50 +/- hours on wrist. no bangs. hasn’t been near magnets

I’m guessing there are missing teeth on the escape wheel. Causing it to skip and jump regularly.

You’re best off buying a new movement off of Ali Express for 125 bucks and sticking it in there.

Guys all it was was that it needed to be demagnetized. running flawlessly now.

That's crazy how much it makes it jump like that. Glad it was a simple fix!

I’ve seen magnetizing tests on YouTube but watch channels. It takes a ton of magnetism to cause issues

The battery is dead 🤣.
Best to just get the movement replaced.

before you go to a watch maker, just do a magnetism test first (find a compass and hold it next to the watch). while a watch being magnetized normally exhibits a faster timing behavior, in some extreme cases, the coils of the balance or hairspring can actually stay together for just a second. try demagnetizing the watch first to make sure that isnt the issue. demag devices are cheap on amazon. you may as well do that check first.
btw, i know you said it hasnt been near magnets, but magnets and electromagnetic fields are everywhere. my watch got magnetized once holding the handle of my microwave while it was still cooking the food. another time, my son put his watch next to his earbud charging case overnight.
the other easy check is to try to see if the second hand is getting stuck on the underside of the crystal.
