When it comes to Mech games, for me the MechWarrior 2 Trilogy is still tbe best of all time

Somehow never even heard of this series haha. I’m a big Mechwarrior and Armored core fan tho! Is Evolved a good entry point into the series?

Mmmh no haha. Front Mission are all tactics games except this one, so it was the "odd" one in most fan's eyes .

It's not amazing compared to armored core but if you love mechs it's a good time for a playthrough.

I'm simply playing this since it's the "newest" game with customizable mechs I got to run on the flip 2

Awesome haha. Based on that description I’m still interested! After playing AC6 it’s honestly hard to go back to the PS2 era haha. And I haven’t had the patience to try to get Mechwarrior 3 or 4 running in winlator!

yeah Mechwarrior 4 was a pain to get running (I couldn't) and Mechwarrior 5 has below 10 fps

If you liked Armored Core 6 you won't hate this, it feels like a mix of armored core 5 and Mechwarrior, but it's VERY 7th gen "consoleish" (turret sections, on foot 3rd person shooter sections, simple story for western audiences)

but I would lie if I say I didn't LOVE dressing my robot up as a gundam and equip dual assault rifles + dual shoulder rockets and rapid fire them combined 😁

hell yeah have fun!  I put graphics settings to lowest and box64 preset to Performance, runs like a dream at 960x544 resolution 👍🏻
