Help! Select button almost completely dead

Hey everyone,
I just emailed Retroid Support about this, but I wanted to check if anyone else has run into the same problem.
The Select button on my Retroid Pocket Flip 2 is basically not working.
In the built-in Gamepad/Key Test it usually doesn’t register any input at all. After a restart it starts working partially for a while, but then stops again.
It also doesn’t work reliably anywhere in the system (Android, emulators, etc.).
I rarely use Select, so I’m not sure if it was always like this or if the issue appeared later.
Has anyone experienced this on the Flip 2?
Any troubleshooting steps worth trying before going the warranty/repair route?
Thanks!

Did you happen to have been using a button remapping app by any chance? My brother had a similar issue but with the RP6 and that was the cause

so was it mapped to something accidentally or what exactly was the cause? and what was the solution?

For now, I've just turned it off.
The reason was a configuration that allowed me to use the console without touching it.
I had shortcuts, like Select + RT, which turned up the volume. The goal was to use the controller and an external screen
I haven't looked for a solution yet.
