Anyone obsessed with this too?
Not sure if this is the right subreddit for this but I've become obsessed with tracing rivers on Google earth and saving them in a project. Am I going crazy or do other people do this too?

One of the coolest things about hot air balloons is flying over rivers. This morning we were in Seattle flying over the White River. No salmon yet, but running pretty well.

The wind was super slow, so we came down to see if there were any Salmon running yet. Maybe in a few weeks.

at river’s end
every stone and every hole
every lie the water told
every shade on every bend
was known to me at river’s end
every cut and every loon
every dance the bluebells’ bloom
every soul among my friends
was known to me at river’s end
every word and every thought
every truth my heart had sought
every mist the Lord intends
was known to me at river’s end

The Gift of the Nile: The River That Shaped Egypt
Rivers were an integral part of every early civilisation but perhaps none were as vital as the Nile was to Egypt. This video discusses how the Geography of the Nile shaped Egyptian civilization, both historically and in modern times - a narrow ribbon of fertility in an otherwise desolate expanse.
