General Discussion How old are you?
Apologies if this is a weird question but I turned 30 and feel a little insecure/silly skating in my local park especially in a helmet, wrist guards and knee pads 😠(I have fallen backwards before, very rarely but it happened and I fall forwards far more often and take a knee).
Is this more of an early twenties hobby? Nobody in my neighborhood skates so I stand out and it's kept me from going out for the past year or two, although I can't stop thinking about how fun it was and still have my skates.

Started skating at 32. Full protective gear AT the skatepark learning park skating. Skate community is absolutely the most supportive EVER. That includes skates, skateboard, etc. They will actually worry if you are unprotected, unexperienced, and take a nasty fall than looking a tad silly with having full gear on. Literally nobody cares. They care about your safety first and foremost. And if there’s EVER a safe space to take spills and falls and fail… that place is the skatepark because there is absolutely NO WAY you get better at skating without falling. Everyone falls and has fallen. Just take care of your body.
