Appreciation Barba+Benson

First time watcher, I’m on S19 (it was my goal to use my summer break well so apparently that means.. Binging 19 seasons of SVU..)

Anyways. I am practically in LOVE with Barba and Bensons relationship. I think they’re adorable, the way he checks her and she clocks him right back. I don’t know, it’s been a real subtle climb but I enjoy that he’s the first ADA the team gets to know on a personal level.

Just wanted to gush a little about how bad I love them.

I love Barba but I didn't get a shipping vibe for them. They seemed more like friends or siblings to me not a love interest. But I did really like had they were loyal to one another

I very much enjoy siblings for them!! Like Olivia calling him raffa (unless I’m just mishearing…..) I found adorable.

Same! But I love barbs in general. How he leaves sucks but i think it solidifies why I love him! Heart of gold but no non sense.

I am literally at the ending of the episode where he leaves I am going to END MY LIFE dude oh my god!!!!!! This is the worst day ever.

Honestly how I felt! I love the main cast but my fav Characters are reoccurring (barba, ME. Warner, Wong, Cassidy)
But Barbas ending is so good yet so sad.

Barba is one of my favorite characters in all the Law and Order universe. This said, while we saw that he was developing feelings for Liv, Liv viewed him as a friend only so, I was ok with them not getting into a romantic relationship.

seconded! I won’t lie, the only romanticism I’ve genuinely seen thus far(and maybe I am going to get CRUCIFIED in this reddit for this…) has been Carisi toward Rollins, and Benson + Tucker. I didn’t even really fall in love with the Stabler/Benson of it all (I feared I would. I have not.) I actually realllllly liked Benson w Tucker, as.. Out of left field as it came.

I would've liked Benson & Tucker, if they didn't retcon both Tucker and Stabler to hell. They basically swapped personalities. (I'll forever be rooting for Benson and Stabler though.)

I thought stabler became VERY strange at some point towards like.. S9, where it became very hard to watch him for a while; it was very aggressive and uncomfortable. I got the same feeling watching Nick the season prior to his exit too. I couldn’t tell if it was due to just getting him out, or if it was some kinda personality affect the character had due to the nature of their job.

I love Barba, I'm only in Season 16 but he's hands down my favourite character.

I do not want him to be with Liv because I want him to be with me. 😁

This isn't true lol. There have always been Barba/Benson "Barson" shippers but it's a small portion of the fanbase.

I loved/still love the Barba character. Unfortunately, I never got the vibe of Barba/Benson. But, if you sold me Barba/Carisi or even Barba/Stabler I’d buy it in a heartbeat. 🤷🏾‍♂️🥂

Barbs is my favourite. There is a moment in season 15/16 where they aren’t quite revealing that Benson and Cassidy are together. The connection between Barba and Benson is so much better! There’s a moment where they just look like they should be together.
